I can tell you that the music isn’t for me. I am a black woman who enjoyed my fair share of ratchet music post high school and in my early 20s. Approaching the later half of my 20s now I look at this music and kind of just laugh. It doesn’t fit the headspace that I’m currently in right now but that’s OK. I’ve heard a couple of her songs and they’re nothing that I choose to listen to on repeat, but I must say sometimes I think about her lyrics when I’m trying to hype myself up 😂.
