They kept so much from the original and the world looks vast and awesome. The magic alone is so satisfying to see. This is the fantasy world that I need!

I wonder how they improved on the AI-learning for the main Pawn in this one. In the first game, the main pawn literally learned from your gameplay behavior and formed its own personal inclinations as an AI-controlled NPC. If you were a looter type of player, the AI learns it and your pawn tends to develop into a looter in behavior too. If you were a skilled parry-type Fighter, your pawn learns to be good at parrying too and use it more often and against specific enemy attacks. If you were the type to prioritize climbing up the head of a cyclops and fool it into removing its helmet for you, your pawn learns to do that and prioritize doing it too. Even with healing and reviving allies, the pawn learns from your every action including item use for the situation. Reviewers often fail to mention this, but Dragon's Dogma is essentially part AI-raising simulator. Given how more advanced AI seems to be now, I wonder how 2 will do this anew?

Interesting, I didn't know that about the AI. Mine will be a loot goblin 🤣🤣

@@pawsvtuber It was actually a common complaint among players and reviewers back then that their pawn would always loot even during battle. If memory serves me right, the player has to "sheath" their weapon before looting to avoid teaching this tendency to the Pawn. Or avoid looting and focus on the battle first while a Chimera is stomping right in front of you 😆
Here's an example of what properly training your pawn's AI can give you. Really cool: th-cam.com/video/i4vMPcKpuwo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Tv_z9CVFPgLMZMUO

@@pawsvtuber - It seems like you simply assign an inclination (like lootgoblin, aggressive, crowd-control, support, etc) to a pawn, they removed the learning inclinations. But probably kept the ability to learn about areas, quests and specific enemies.

Yeah I just realized that, now that you mentioned it, initially my pawn didn't loot anything, then after I smashed a bunch of boxes, everytime my pawn spots those same boxes, the pawn will say, "I wonder whats in here" and proceeds to run up to it and smash it, then loot it, lmao. They even started looting NPC stores when I sleep at the inn, they all run down stairs and start looting the joint, I swear I didn't teach them that 😲
They also get better at slaying monsters, I killed 2 cyclops now, and the second one, the pawn is full climbing it and stabbing it in the back of the head, so funny to watch, I finished off the previous one by stabbing it the same way. I can only imagine how much better they are going to be in the new one.

Most pawns end up becoming Loot Goblins. However I remember the killer AI learning Nintendo made for Smash. People training their Amiibo to become an unbeatable demigod that overpowers its own creator. If Nintendo of all people figured out how to do that then I’m sure most game companies could figure it out

Playing Fighter into either a Warrior or a Spearhand, Pawn is probably going to be a Mage.
The game looks amazing, can't wait for 22nd!

I have just starting playing the first one. Never played it before till recently, but now that I understand it, I am pretty certain I'm going to get this provided it's an improvement over the first. This will basically be kind of a remake but adding in all the stuff they didn't get to finish in the first game and improve on the pawns, and combat vocation changes, much larger map, elven race etc. Will be going thief class.

Dragons dogma 1 wasn’t a hard game but it had a fair bit of complexity and next to no information on the systems. I recommend watching dragons dogma 1 tips before you start as many of the systems likely will carry over.

Thank you! I played a bit of 1, it's a very fun game. Also the fun for me is to discover and trial and error stuff, so I'll be going in blind for my own enjoyment. It does look like most systems carry over, so that's pretty cool already, since a lot of them were interesting to toy with.

Even tho I can't play this game cuz I don't have a PC or a proper console for it, I'm still very hyped for this game!
The first Dragon's Dogma game really made me addicted to it and almost having 1000 hours of playing it which is crazy on its own xD
I hope when the game comes out, you'll give it a try and maybe create a highlight video of it, would be pretty cool of you~ 😳
