Wander About... STEAM - The Great Western Railway Museum - Swindon

Please come along for a good Ol' Wander About the STEAM museum here in Swindon.
This is a fantastic place if trains are your thing!
The museum is in the old train yard workshops, so it has an excellent setting.
I learnt SO much about how Swindon & trains have been intrinsically connected for many many years, it's a very educational place!

Very good, I used to go round on Wednesday open days when I was a lad. North Star was sat up on high beams above the main workshop. Great times, thanks.

Where abouts in Swindon is this?....the reason i ask is when i attended R.I.A.T. back in 07 i stayed in a hotel in Swindon

It's pretty much in the centre, right near the designer outlet centre.
