Me too. My guitar teacher - a big brother to me - compelled me to trade it in for his Fender Vibrolux that got ever so slightly dinged at a gig. My one complaint about it is that it was a little heavy.
Duke, those reverberockets are just great. I’ve got a 1964 ampeg reverberocket 2. Similar to a deluxe reverb with the 22 watts. But the tremolo and reverb in these units are just incredible.
First, I'm a guitar player. Second I've owned a 60's Reverb Jet. Third I also now own a bunch of Telecasters. And last, I'm an audio engineer that's worked a ton of live shows. My micing technique for the Jet is to put the SM57 right against the grill just above the wooden bar that goes across the speaker, but pointed a little down so it's aimed at the bottom edge of the center circle of the speaker. If it's below that wooden bar point it at the top of the circle on the cone. The sound is much more direct, but gets every nuance of the speaker. You may need to turn the treble down a bit on your mixing board, but it's always better to have too much high end then to try to add them in. Love the playing, and now I so miss my Reverb Jet. It was my number one, and preferred it to my stacks of amps due to its amazing tones.
Beautiful. I had an ampeg reverbojet when I was a dumbass teen in the 90s, didn't know what I had and left it somewhere. Regret! We'd all love to hear a slightly longer version of this. Or barring that, quick run down on the chord voicings you used? I need this in my arsenal
I know that the older Ampegs always had an unusual tube layout. What set of tubes are in this amp, and are there any modifications? Sweet tone and even sweeter playing! Thanks for this post!
New subscriber to the channel. Can't believe I didn't find it sooner. Many thanks.
Duke makes anything he plays through sound like a million bucks. He simply has the " touch "....
Love this song - beautiful rendition
This is the TONE!
Thanks!
I wish I still had my Reverborocket.

@@Baci302 I do use a Vibrolux now. I'm very happy with it.
Duke never fails to impress me and inspire me to play more stuff''....

Do the reissues from the 90s sound anything like this one?? 😃 There’s one I’ve got my eye on… not sure if I should go for that or a Blues Deluxe?

Steve - This amp had been converted to use 6L6 power tubes, I forget what the stock ones were.
Awesome. You still use the Mad Professor delay? Your delay sounds are the best.
Greg - Yes! MP Deep Blue Delay.
Album that is
By the way, where can I buy your Country Soul alblum?
Hi Tim, CDs are on order, I'll have info on my website in next few weeks (Nov. - 2020). Also available now on iTunes.
What's the stereo reverb we're hearing?
Joe - A little bit of a Plate Rev in Logic.
