Rotherham town centre shopping, is it really on its knees now?

I returned to the town centre to have a look at the new complex and Corporation Street to see how the development with the burnt out buildings was progressing.
I love Rotherham always will, but I couldn't help feeling sad of the decline in pedestrians that was all too evident, oh and watch on as I was stopped from filming in the pub I voted best in the town centre back in May this year.

It’s not the most attractive place for big shops to invest in given the proximity to local large retail parks where they get more footfall. But it’s holding on at the moment, we need more small independents with a broader and different offer. Easier said than done, I admit. Good to see the Forge Island site up and running. Be good once all the units are filled.
