    I woke up today with the idea to make a documentary about this crazy year of 2020 and this helped a lot

    I am currently a film student enrolled in a short from script writing class. But I am also do feature length screenwriting, I have recently acquired an idea for a short subject documentary. Thank you Creative North.

    I've not wrote a feature documentary script, I'm more on the narrative side. It was so interesting to gain this insight though. Thank you for sharing!

      Yeah writing for fiction is different, but I do think you can gain a lot from approaching a Story in a similar way. The research before you sit down and write can definitely get stronger if you do research in a similar fashion. Both character and strong will be more unique. Think Sean Baker worked a little bit like this on Tangerine for instance

    Imho it is super important to write down the most important ideas.
    Thinking how you can walk through the story... :)

      Yeah writing applications have thought me a lot about penning and idea. Think that usually drives my story forward and it’s a good reason to write stuff down

    I am just getting into the sport of paramotoring an I think a documentary about this sport witch is becoming very popular needs someone to tell the history of how it evolved and where it's going. People are dying and with the right information a lot of death's can be avoided. A comprehensive list including the names, dates, location and equipment involved in the accidents and the circumstances surrounding the accidents will be well received. Can you take on this project? Will you?

    OH man The you tube sounding music at 2 min really takes away from this one.. I really like your videos because they feel like a doc even thou it is a youtube vlog. I do respect your work though Im planning on sailing around the world and vloging it but I want it to look and feel like a documentary rather than annoying typical travel vlog.

    What does the test shoot consist of?

    • @Jonnyvonwallstrom
      @Jonnyvonwallstrom  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually it depends on where you’re at with your character. I usually try to shoot a situation that can show how the character will work and that can show a funder why they’re right for the story. So let’s say you have a fisherman, going out fishing will be better than sitting and doing an interview.

    I absolutely love your content. I want to be a film maker. I have a film to make. I’ve been learning cameras and photography for the past 2 years because I want to be my own DP and do this DIY. I have my character, conflict/task and a number of the puzzle pieces to make it happen...it’s not a quick process and enjoy following your channel because I find nuggets of wisdom from you. This year I’ve started vlogging and will be working more on filming vs. photography. Keep making great content cause I need any help I can get. Haven’t updated my website in a minute, but this is some of my photography: www.aaronpeipert.com
