Alex Marian maybe not. There are some guys that were issued ECH helmets in the us army and got hit with a 7.63x39 to their helmet and survived with no serious injury. And the army adopted a new helmet to reduce blunt impact.
So I can upgrade my LBH side rails with these skeleton ones and they’ll essentially add that extra slot on the back like an SF helmet? I have done a few upgrades, but had been waiting on a skeleton rail upgrade for my helmet since they were only available for the newer Maritime versions
The USMC will probably choose the base Fast helmet or OC Sentry as the infantry issue in the near future. In the 90s, MICH helmets were only used by American SF. Now MICH cut helmets are on the way out, getting replaced by newer cuts.
