Gotta wonder if that's part of why he played him so well, after all, when it comes to writing, they always say "write what you know", and I know that when I'm writing a character who is similar to myself, or going through something similar to a trial I've faced in my own life, it just, flows better, if that's the way to put that.
@Anteo Chris is the absolute best Dimitri we could’ve asked for. It still blows my mind how well everyone was cast in roles that fit their actual personalities, you can see it right across the cast! But yes, hearing Chris say that he doubted himself in the role was so crazy.

I’m just picturing Dedue in a swimming pool to watch over Dimitri and I’ve been laughing for about half an hour.
I pre-ordered fe3h because it came out the day before I was scheduled to have major knee surgery and it looked like it would be a good time killer.
When I woke up from the operation, they released me immediately because my father had collapsed and was in the ICU. I knew immediately he was dying.
The parallels were uncanny. I'd just been thrust out of my usual job into a tutoring position, struggling to relate to these students, and people were always giving me heck over being so outwardly "emotionless" during such a stressful time. My father's condition worsened, so I took a break from the game. After he passed away, I picked up the game a little while later... at Chapter 9.
I went through A LOT of life changes right beside Byleth. The words of comfort and advice for Byleth ended up hitting me deeply and helping me begin to heal. I owe a large debt of gratitude to this game and the cast and crew responsible for it. Thanks guys. ♡

I truthfully don’t think you can fully describe it with a few words. The experience of playing the game then discovering the community of voice actors, artists and general fans was truly incredible. An experience that you only find a few times in your life. Savior these moments as they are rare.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the reason I decided to pursue music and start my TH-cam channel. It was there at the lowest point in my life and in some ways, I don't know if I'd be here without it.
This is my favorite game of all time and I'm eternally grateful to everyone who worked on the game and the community that I got to be a part of. It will hold a special place in my heart always. 💙🎉🎉😭

What FE3H taught me:
To never let your past control your future, that being in a dark place is alright. And that your not a monster if you suffer from mental illness.
I also learned that through the game that I’ve suffered with PTSD- and knowing this has helped me a lot in the past year. Dimitri is comforting to me.
I relate to Felix too. In a different way. Thinking that someone you cared about turned to be completely different. I get how it feels. How to lose someone close to you.

This game has helped me through a lot mentally. I probably would’ve been struggling with my trauma more if I didn’t find this game.
Because throughout my first time playing Dimitri’s route, especially through the timeskip- I cried, because I knew what it felt like to blame yourself, to feel alone, numb, to feel like a monster- a shell of your former self.
Dimitri just hits hard because it’s like he is me, the awkward personality, the low self esteem, the trauma, the guilt, the acceptance, and living for the future and not the past. I relate to all of it.
I remember crying during the BE route when Dimitri got killed. It’s surprising how attached I got to Dimitri, and how precious he became after a short amount of time.
Chris- you voiced him amazingly. And I didn’t want to ask before because I didn’t know if it was answered- and you did mention it a bit in the video but, Chris Hackney- do you have some mental illness struggle that made you relate to Dimitri? If so- I’d love to hear about it!
I am on record stating that chris’ performance in this game is the best voice acting performance i’ve ever heard in any piece of media ever period. I didn’t like dimitri at first, but after playing bl i really grew to respect him.
Other thing i wanted to say: I hope you’re doing better today man. Ik how tough things can be, and I may not know what you’ve been through but i support you and hope you are living youre life in a better place and better state of mind now. Peace brother, I love you fellow fire emblem fan ❤️

Playing the Blue Lions was a great experience, I'll never forget it.
I feel that. Blue Lions was my last choice to pick since the trailers came out but for pity, I chose Dimitri. And I never regret that decision. I've laughed and cried along with the characters and story, Blue Lions is an unforgetable experience
Blue lions was a beutifull route. I was originally going to pick black eagles untill all my freinds said they where going to do the same. I decided to plau blue lions afterwords so we could all discuss the routes. That choice to pick blue lions was the best choice i could habe made. Such a wonderfully written story. Its great that my first impression of the game was with the best route and one of the best lords in the series rather than the mediocrity that was crimson flower and silver snow
I myself wasn't connected to any house, just heard a bit about each, but went to Blue Lions because of Dimitri and Mercedes (who is my S-support). And damn that was a powerful. The Azure Moon showed me that your friends can and will help you even if you are hopeless. And together... You can triumph!

I like that this video used “The Color of Sunrise” as one of the songs in the background. Since it only plays in the end credits of Crimson Flower, it does not get recognized as much since “The Edge of Dawn” plays in the end credits of the routes.

Having played nearly 400 hours of FE3H, I've fallen in love with the characters, the universe, and the narrative. Blue Lions was the first house I picked, the first Maddening no NG+ route I played, and the group of students I've come to adore the most throughout this journey. I will always cherish the excitement I felt being able to lead my Blue Lions for the first time.
To all the voice actors, I can't praise you enough for your skill and dedication to this fandom. This is the first time that I've seen the cast of a game be so involved with the community. It brings a whole other layer of depth to the characters you portrayed as we see your IRL personalities complement with who you are in game. ANIME Impulse also deserves so much love and credit for bringing you all together for laughs, memes, and enduring relationships.
I can't wait to see the continued growth of the FE fandom and the 5-year anniversary where hopefully we'll all not want to kill each other :')

From a gameplay perspective I never cared for ignatz but from a character and his story I am glad how relatable I think he is for a lot of people and Christian did an amazing job portraying that I felt
This game is so special. I've never seen anything like it. I connected with the characters in game and loved the gameplay. That already made it one of my alltime favourite video-games. But then I got to interact with the fandom online, and then I stumbled onto a Joe Zieja video and slowly got to see how involved the VAs are in the community and how sweet and wonderful they are and just, wow.
On the contrary to the battle at gronder field, this class reunion is quite fantastic
Hearing Chris talk about his uncertainty about being Dimitri really hit close to home. I always think that my performance is bad and worry they’ll replace me, and hearing someone who inspires me have similar sentiments is surreal to say the least.
I remember I told him he was my inspiration on one of his streams and he told me to not make others proud, make myself proud. I hope that he makes himself proud.
This game has literally kept me alive through the past year. I bought it shortly after release when I was recovering from con flu. The month of August 2019 was spent with me sick off and on all the time, either physically or mentally. I lost my job due to absenteeism from all the missed days, and my life fell apart at the seams for a good many months.
I felt like an abject failure, unworthy of anything, not even compassion. I was shoving away others so I wouldn't drag them down and they wouldn't lose patience with me. I utterly loved Dimitri pre-timeskip, and watching him fall to pieces the way he did post-timeskip hit really hard because it felt, in a way, like I was seeing myself, deep, deep in the throes of my own mental illness. And then, in pulling him back from the brink as Byleth, I started seeing a way I could pull myself back from the edge as well. I took hands reaching out to me.
And to say this game taught me more empathy for different perspectives is an understatement. Having played Azure Moon first, Edelgard was firmly planted in an antagonistic role, yet even then, I could tell she wasn't entirely heartless. Which is a testament to the strength of the writing. Though hers was the 3rd route I did (Church being the last), I still found myself falling for her and the Eagles just as I had Claude and the Deer and Dimitri and the Lions.
They all became my children, my family, and even though I'm now on my 8th playthrough (Church Route NG+), I still find new things to enjoy, whether it be gameplay, a cross-house support I missed the first time, a subtle shift in dialogue to indicate paralogue or plot events being done or not- the amount of work put into this game is astounding.
And this game truly inspired my writing. It gave me the last push I needed to get through the doldrums and finish my novel's first draft. Not only that, but the fanfiction has been astounding, and I've enjoyed reading and writing every last bit of it.
It's a testament to the strength of the writing and the acting that these performances, even a year later, still manage to evoke emotion from me. And Christian? Chris? Your dedication to your characters and their arcs in-game is amazing. Ignatz has become a must recruit for all routes, and Dimitri remains my favorite of the Lords, mainly carried on the power of his redemption arc.
Essays aside, this game means a lot to me, and I'm so happy to see people diving in, even a year after release. So many games get a passionate release and then fade into nothingness within a month because the next AAA title comes out. That we're still talking about this game alongside P5R and FFVIIR is incredible.
FE3H is one of my personal favorite games, and always will be. Bless all of you for being so involved and amazing.
When Chris Hackney spoke... I couldn’t help but cry. Seeing how he acted and how he thought about everything just so... So hard to hear, but also very pleasing to hear he got this role. He’s definitely one of my role models for voice acting
After finishing FE Awakening, I was sad that I went to Pinterest and then Fe3h suddenly appeared all over...Fe3h’s blue lions gave me comfort during this overwhelmingly stressful pandemic. I’ve only watched fe3h in TH-cam but I’m hoping one day I can play it in the switch.

I played 3H 5 months after the release of the game, when everyone was talking about it without spoiler warnings, but when I finally started to play it, the characters started talking to me.

What Fire Emblem: Three Houses means to me . . . Oh, this is complex . . .
I've enjoyed games for as long as I can remember. I got a Wii when I was young, and my oldest brother - only a year and a half younger than me - and I would play Mario Kart Wii on that. For Christmas, I got Sonic Colors. I loved video games.
Fast forward, some bad things happened in my life. I was hardly into elementary school, but simply put, I never left my room. Not because I wouldn't, but because I couldn't.
That changed in second grade, when my brothers and I moved in with our father. A year later we moved again. I hadn't played a video game in years.
Then, we received another Wii from our mom. Among the several games she sent, one of which was Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Around this time (probably off by a year or so), Undertale had made a huge impact on me, so I wasn't a fan of fighting games, but I *was* competitive as hell. And that oldest brother of mine? *He was good.*
I played Sheik because she looked cool and I knew no one else, but that same brother recommended I play other characters, broaden my scopes.
These "other characters" included Marth and Ike - Fire Emblem characters.
I didn't like Ike for how slow he was, but I was a fan of Marth.
During March of last year, I visited my best friend's house and played Super Smash Bros Ultimate for the first time - I liked it *far* more than Brawl, and after Spring Break, when my grandfather (the absolute *legend* he is) gave me and my two brothers $100 each ($300 total), we got a Switch with Smash Ultimate and a GameCube controller (we already had stuff saved).
Move back some years and I'd recently gotten a phone. My brother, a Fire Emblem fan now after getting into Smash, recommended I get Fire Emblem Heroes. I wasn't a *huge* fan, but I agreed.
Now, we're at a year ago. There's an event for Three Houses.
I had deleted the game before, but got Heroes a back a few months before the event, and my brother was a *hardcore Black Eagle.* Still is, in fact, and I just rolled with that. I had no opinion on which was the best house, so I just rolled with him.
Then, I realized Dimitri was *really, really pretty.*
It's Christmas now, and here's where the story comes together.
It's Christmas, and my brothers and I are making wishlists, writing down all sorts of things - my list was mostly practical things (i.e. tools, copy paper, etc) and merch. I glanced back and saw *no games.*
Yeah, I didn't like that.
But I wasn't *desiring* a game! Ah, but then again, I knew my oldest brother wanted Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and we already had a Switch because we bought one April that year.
So I wrote down Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
My dad was at GameStop asking me some questions over the phone, and after some conversation, he sighs and says, *"Alright, I'll just get that game you wanted and go."* No game in particular mentioned, but I had a feeling.
Christmas morning, I open a gift addressed to me.
*Fire Emblem: Three Houses.*
This game *single-handedly* got me back into games. It revived parts of me that I had been slowly losing - my conviction, my decisiveness - all because I didn't want to bother anyone, but all coming back through interactions I experienced with characters.
My first route, of course, was Azure Moon.
I remember Dimitri at the Goddess Tower saying he had no right to promise his future to anyone.
I remember Felix getting upset with me for choosing to not bother Dimitri post-timeskip - not bothering to save him.
I remember *every last time Ferdinand got upset because I was trying to return something that wasn't his------!*
I remember *having fun.*
I finished that route faster than all my other playthroughs - considering real time. Check my saves and Verdant Wind is my fastest so far, but Azure Moon had me *enamoured* and I soaked in *every last bit* of the story. Theorizing about Flayn and Seteth's identities because, "What's the difference between Rhea and Seiros?", strategizing to make sure a unit that I had mistakenly put in danger didn't die the next turn, empathizing with characters as they struggled with their own problems and striving to help them all - and I mean *them all.*
I went on an emotional rollercoaster with Dimitri - I may as well have been Dedue to be honest.
*When Dimitri wanted Edelgard dead, so did I. When he changed, so did I.*
I remember how I wanted to prioritize helping Fhirdiad, but the moment Edelgard was within reach, *I seeked her life.*
I still get emotional seeing Dimitri die in all the other routes. He was my first S-Support, and no one can beat that experience. I mean,
*It truly touched my heart.*
All these characters are mesmerizing, and although I started this game way later than everyone else, I feel confident in the fact that I love this game just as much (if not more perhaps?) than everyone else.
I mean, my friend called me DimitriLover597 the other day . . .
*That's never happened with any other game before, so you know I'm obsessed ^^*
So, *thank you.* To everyone who made this game happen - the cast, Nintendo, Cup of Tea - *everyone.*
I must admit, I've never fallen in love with a voice cast - or even actors - before this one, and I can tell I'm going to enjoy *at least* the next four years with this game.
*I mean, if the Professor doesn't come back after five years, they're legally allowed to start a war.*

Honestly my experience of getting into Fire Emblem Three Houses and the franchise in general was almost close to yours.
It started with Pokemon. I saw a trailer for X & Y, excited I thought that maybe I should rewatch all the seasons prior. Heavily invested I researched more, I didn't know Pokémon was based on a game so I was shocked when I discovered it.
Around 2016, I heard Pokemon Sun & Moon was coming out. So I watched the trailers for the new content, new Pokemon, it was fun.
Ok fast forward to 2018. During the entire summer before my senior year. I was depressed and I cry alone, I can't tell my family because I was afraid. Starting the school year I wasn't so...good.
I made new friends but I feel empty. While scouring around TH-cam, I found a thumbnail for Smash. I recognized the Pokemon and Mario but the others...no. I watched the video and was intrigued. From that point I kept waiting for Directs on more news about Smash.
I knew the Switch existed but I wasn't invested. But at that time, I knew I want one just for Smash.
After playing so many hours, I really love playing all the FE characters. And surprise Three Houses was coming so I thought "Why not?"
After getting the game, it became my favorite game of all. So much so, I kept playing Heroes and downloaded roms of GBA FE games. Even if I know BotW and Odyssey are more superior. This game was so amazing. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me feel gay for Dimitri-Yes, I admit it.
Azure Moon and the Blue Lions is the best experience that's ever happened to me. Smash, BotW and Three Houses really helped me through tough times of my depression. Fire Emblem as a whole is a shining jewel of my adoration and now, I never felt more happier to be in this community.
(Also: Pokemon is trash now imo)

As with many big games, this game likely put many of these voice actors on the map. People who I wasn't even aware of are now up there as voice actors I absolutely love.
I'm going to be honest here. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the reason I'm a Fire Emblem fan. When I picked that game up on July 26th, 2019, on what was practically a whim, I had no idea what an excellent franchise I was getting myself into. And as I've been experiencing what this franchise has to offer over the past year, it just continually astounds me. I don't know where I'd be without FE, as those characters, and these games felt like a warm blanket during times when I felt alone, or unsure of myself socially- there was always Fire Emblem, and in particular, Three Houses. This cast is incredible, and these characters are incredible, and this game is incredible. So, I suppose the most I can say is, thank you to the cast, and IS, and Nintendo, and Cup of Tea for making a game that I'll be playing for years to come.
Sigh, nice to see this. FE3H was my first FE game and I’m glad I found it. It’s probably my second favorite game on the switch and had I not picked it up I would have never to consider playing FE4, which is now my favorite game in the series. I’m very glad Three Houses exists :)

Gotta say when I finished my first play through of Golden deer. Oh boy the emotional impact it left on me. It felt like I went a journey with those characters I cried, I laughed, and really feel for those characters. Especially when I reached the end and learned “the truth” about crest. And the how everything from chapter 17 onwards the stakes we’re getting higher and higher and it just kept that momentum going until the end. That’s something I never felt in any of the other routes. Not to mention shout out to Joe Zieja for voicing Claude and being an amazing character. It may not be my favorite Fe but it’s damm well one of the best titles I have personally played.
Honestly, this game is what finally made me fully appreciate English voice acting as a whole. I grew up watching only spanish dubbed media, which I always thought was really well produced, so I already had a lot of respect for latin american voice acting. Then through years of watching a lot of anime I also got very familiar with a lot of japanese voices, but English never seemed to do it for me entirely until Three Houses. Getting to know this cast and knowing that they share as much enthusiasm for their characters as the whole fe community does is an absolute blessing and I couldn't be happier about it. ❤️💙💛💜

I love how Ferdinand is the only one who had his full name at the bottom, it’s such a meme and great reference. One of the reasons this is easily my favorite rpg/jrpg, and arguably my favorite game. To see how much love and support is put into this game by the community is so touching
After watching Lucien Dodge stream this game it gets me more and more excited to play this game myself! The cast is amazing, the story is well-written and the characters are so fantastic!

Never before have I played a game or watched a show or ANYTHING that has have had the actors engage so much in the community, as done so much to be a part of it. And never had I seen the fans welcome them in such a way. It’s truly amazing.

As a full-fledged Fire Emblemer, I am STILL so, SO absorbed in the world of Three Houses (I played it 10 times, each route twice, once normal, and again with New Game+, and Ashen Wolves once as male and once again as female). It brought me so much joy after a soul-crushingly boring job, it helped push me to go back to school, and it's expanded my confidence in making fan works again. This community has always made me happy, but to see so many ACTIVE, fills me with more joy than can be put into words. I love this game, I love the entire cast, and I LOVE this community. HERE'S TO ANOTHER YEAR!!!!

Three Houses has inspired so many people to create. Myself included. The art, stories, shared experiences... it's such a good thing to have while we're sequestered away at home. People and characters to relate to and grow with.

Fire Emblem Three Houses has come to mean a lot to me. I’ve sunken in countless hours into this game, seemingly getting more invested as time goes on. I’ve fallen in love with just about the entire cast, each character feeling so vibrant and alive, all facing their own struggles. So many of those struggles are relatable to so many people. Heck, some of these characters have helped me come to terms with genuine fears I’ve had in my life, making me feel that I’m not alone. Between that, the music, world building, a wonderful and enticing plot, the emotion in the voice acting... this game has become my favorite game of all time. Bless this wonderful game, and I thank everyone who has worked on this 3 Houses. Thank you so much for helping in creating a game that means so much to so many!
Nintendo blessed me years ago with Awakening, a game I had no expectations for that wowed me with every play session. Years later I got blessed again with my new favorite game ever made; Three Houses. From the superb soundtrack, the excellent vocal performances from every VA involved and the heavy feeling of the game, Three Houses is something I can always stand by to prove that video games are art. So, here's to one whole great year of Ferdinand von Aegir and Dimitri terrifying me by saying "Don't struggle!" And thank you to every voice actor interviewed for this. Studying acting and hearing all the performances throughout the game inspire me so much and make me want to work to this level. I mean it; Three Houses to me is not even really a game. The community, the art, the performances, etc. Three Houses is a bonafide experience.
Honestly this makes me really want to meet some of these people in real life, they seem like really down to earth people. kinda inspirational as well, makes me want to go obtain my goals as well.
All of these videos have just warmed my heart so much, we as fans are just as lucky to have such a wonderful cast voicing our favorite game! Happy Birthday FE3H!!

I personally have never gotten to play Three Houses yet because I don't currently own a Switch. However, I've been a part of Fire Emblem since Path of Radiance and have always had the mentality of "I'd buy a system JUST for Fire Emblem". When Path of Radiance came out, I was like, "This game looks cool." and got it for Christmas and it totally transformed me and the way I viewed gaming and characterization... to the point I became a fanfiction writer in the Fire Emblem community because I just loved the games that much. I bought a 3DS just for Awakening. This franchise has been the franchise that has been a cornerstone of my time as a gamer.
When Three Houses first came out, everyone was like, "This game is amazing!" constantly to my face. People who never played a single other entry in the franchise were buying into it and telling me how great it was and how much they enjoyed it! It made me feel happy to see this small community back in the early 2000's grow to this amazingly great community today. Although, still to this day a year later, I have kept myself relatively spoiler free (a few slipped by, but oh well, that's my fault for not getting to it sooner). Watching these videos really just makes me want to play it more. Feeling the love that every one of these performers put into their roles, their characters... and the mutual love they share with the community is just absolutely tear-jerking and heartwarming. From what I know of the characters and seeing the people who do them as they are themselves in these interviews and the other videos posted, you can just... feel the connection everyone had. To the game. To the character they played. To each other. To us, the community.
Here we are a year later, and I'm still seeing videos of each of these people interacting with the community and it's just... mindblowing. From the bottom of my heart, I thank every one of these amazing artists for putting on a magical production that I will one day play and enjoy the heck out of for hundreds of hours, probably years down the road I will still replay it and revisit the magic of Fodlan. Thank you for being a part of this amazing franchise and this amazing game. Thank you to the cast and crew who made this game possible to help elevate this franchise to a level beyond what we, as a fanbase, could have ever wanted or imagined. To have a fully voiced game where we could relate and love the perfections and imperfections of each character, feeling the human side they all have...
... never would I have thought in my fifteen years with this franchise would I have ever expected this. Thank you, everyone who made this game possible. Thank you, Anime Impulse, for bringing these videos and bridging us even closer to the people who brought this magic to us. I really admire the passion that went into this game. Just listening to Chris talk about living up to Dimitri, or Christian talking about the importance of Ignatz (just to name 2 examples out of many) is both fascinating and indicative of how strongly these actors feel about this project and its place in gaming overall. I am incredibly glad to have played it and about being able to see so much content come out of it.
Fire emblem three houses for me means a lot, I got it around the time I was doing something called NCS, which took a lot of courage to do. The advice for Byleth just really helped me out, the first route I played was golden deer and I adored it, Marianne's a character that personally means a lot to me, I love how she does from being quiet and hating herself to slowly rising up and getting out her comfort zone. I love every route, I love every character, so happy anniversary to the first fire emblem game I played. ❤

What does FE3H mean to me? I got this game for Christmas, and it was the first Fire Emblem game I’ve played through. I’d been introduced to the series when some old friends showed me Awakening, and I ended up getting hooked, even though I never actually played the game.
I started playing the game, taking in this world that was so exciting and new. Music in a game is important to me, because music is just how my brain functions. I fell in love with the music, and I fall in love with it more every time I start the game up, and just sit in the extras menu listening to all the music I’ve unlocked.
I grew attached to these characters, started seeing myself in them. Dorothea, a performer who just wants to be loved for who she is. I just felt this connection to her, this understanding. Bernadetta, a powerful person whose anxieties hold her back. Ignatz, who, like Christian said, is an artist, a poet, who wants his voice to be heard. Lysithea, someone who is tired of being treated like a child, wants to use what time she has in life to actually do something. Dimitri, someone who worries that he isn’t good enough to be what he was meant to be. In them, and every other character, I can find myself, and that’s so powerful to me.
This game, and the people involved in it, whether it be the cast, other fans, the crew, and everyone in between, mean so, so much to me. I’m so glad that I decided to explore the world of this game, and find something that truly means the world to me.

When this game came out, I played for almost 13 hours straight as the game just consumed my life! I love it so incredibly much and I am so forever grateful this game came out. It wasn't something the fire emblem community was expecting but it was so amazingly well done that we all fell in love with it immediately. It also makes me super happy to see the actors include themselves in this community and interact with us, as it just creates a more enriching experience
man I knew going into this that I was going to have to fight the tears when I got to Christian and Chris, but dang this whole video was a tearjerker. FE3H was a great game to play and as I have been a fan of FE for a while, the VAs definitely elevated the experience. You all are such great people, in and outside the game. And I also can't get over Ben in the pool

I am so grateful for this game and the joy it has given me. I got this game at a low and stressful point of my life and Fire Emblem Three Houses provided me with so many fun memories and a sense of confidence in my own abilities. Christian La Monte did a fantastic job voicing Ignatz and I relate to that character so so much as an artist trying to make art that means something even if members of my family may disagree. I continue to go back to this game and will forever remember it fondly as I continue to be a member of the amazing Fire Emblem community.

That was so sweet ;-;. Ngl I started to tear up a bit at the end. I was kinda hesitant to the game when I first saw it, but time went on, I saw more trailers, and bought the game. That was probably one of my best purchases, it was such an amazing journey through all the routes and with all the characters, I love ‘em all. I just wanna day thank you to the Fire Emblem Three Houses community for being amazing, and the voice actors for doing outstanding jobs at their roles. Happy 1 year anniversary! 💜
This got me in the feels. I started replaying blue lions on the anniversary without even knowing it was the anniversary and only after watching these videos did I realize it. Three houses is my favorite game of all time and dimitri is easily my favorite character of all time. Dimitri easily could have just been a generic redemption arc but the writers and voice actor make it practically perfect
What’s Three Houses for me? A story where your forced to understand the hardships of your friends on opposing sides... and every last one of them with stellar voice acting!

Never in recent memory have I been so absorbed into a game I was playing, and a lot of that has to do with the amazing characters written by the writers, and portrayed by these wonderful VAs. The experience has made me search out every piece of FE3H content I can find, and I find myself falling more deeply in love with this game seeing how great this community is and the extent of involvement by the VAs.
I'm currently half way through the church route, having finished the three others already, and I have to say that in the back of my mind, I really don't want it to end. Luckily, I've still got the DLC waiting for me. :)
A big thanks to Anime Impulse for putting these videos together - I have enjoyed each one immensely. Also, much respect to all the VAs for their impeccable performances, but also for taking the time to interact with us fans who have been so deeply impacted by FE3H. It is by far my favorite game on the Switch, and probably one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure to play.
Well I was struggling a lot with my personal life affairs and my mental health declined to a point which I believed I would never crawl out of. Despite that, I'm still here and it's because of this game.
It's amazing that these characters are one of the contributing factors to why I'm still here. Even now I'm still bamboozled that this is the reason. But watching this video reminded me that the passion, heart and soul these people put into their roles was unparalleled.
Mercedes remains my favourite because of how her relationship with Emile worked. I managed to relate to being an older sibling to someone who had experienced trauma as a child and changed as a result. As that older sibling, you always believe in your family regardless of who they are or what they have done.
Anyway to summarise I love this game, these people but above all, Anime Impulse themselves for providing us with wholesome content like this especially during these tough times. To everyone, stay safe and stay happy!

All of those personal stories resonated with me in a big way, because I could feel the love and compassion everyone had for their roles. Not to mention the fact that the game even went so far as to make the VAs see some of their co workers as friends, family and even brothers could really tell me how much of an impact this game has on them. I was tearing up when I was hearing every single story and honestly if it weren't for this game I would never have learned or even have fallen in love with this cast as much as I would have if I hadn't. Long story short because I don't want to sound like a broken record, Fantastic job to every single one of you voice actors you're all amazing, Happy Anniversary FE Three Houses and lastly Thank you so much anime impulse for bringing these great people together during those cute little videos you did as well as bringing them for this video series as you guys are just as amazing as the cast! One important thing that this game made me realise:
Three Houses made me realise my own bisexuality.
I think I always knew I was in the back of my mind, but the game really helped it come out.
It's all thanks to Edelgard and Dorothea. I saw myself in both of them, and both of their popular femslash ships, and I realized that I'd actually be really happy dating a girl.
So I will always be grateful to them.
And can we give props to the writing of Dorothea? I think she is the best character to represent an LGBTQ community ever! A very openly bisexual icon!! Has such amazing pairings with both men and women, and Doropetra doesn't feel forced at all! It feels natural, and beautiful, and ugh, I love Doropetra so much!!!!
So, yeah. Thank you, Three Houses for making realise the existence of a beautiful part of myself. ❤

I ended up crying seeing this. I know there will be new Fire Emblem games later on, but I guess it won't be the same, because I'm sure there will be no sequel to Three Houses. I will always remember F.E.T.H. like the game that changed my life in a very difficult time. Hahaha not for nothing I played the 4 routes, the DLC and again the route of the Black Eagles. It's weird, it's like the characters are friends of mine.

Fire Emblem Three Houses is my favorite game of all time for a million reasons. from a gameplay standpoint, this game is truly one of the most well put together ones I have ever played and from a narrative view, it's absolutely incredible the story they were able to tell with such well made characters and it's take on perspective and morality. but on a personal level, when the game first came out, I was in a really dark place and for a while I heavily associated the game with some of the worse experiences I had at the time. but as I continued to play through all the routes in the game, I grew and changed as a person. along with that, I continued to follow the community and found so many amazing artists, cosplayers and, of course, voice actors who inspired me. through this, I've been able to mentally reclaim this game. for me, this game is a sign of growth and stability, the same way the characters grew and how the community kept me stable. now, a year later, I've found and made friends from this game, it's the first speedgame I decided to learn, and the voice actors who brought the game to life continue to inspire me to do what I love and want to do. thank you so much to Anime Impulse for making this series that celebrates this game that means the world to me ❤️
