That's literally what game development is like. You have to consider every possible action. Except that the playerbase for games like Zelda is so large that many people find exploits that weren't caught during official playtesting.
Once I made the mistake of trying to glide onto Ruta's trunk.

Samus Knight I also noticed that. Smart Game developers. They probably knew someone would do this. They prevent you from hitting them with shock arrows.
I'm amazed he didn't try this.
METY! I HAVE AN EVEN BETTER IDEA! Try doing the same thing on all *sides* of the metal box. But most importantly, maybe the side facing Ruta will be the best side. Because, y'know, how can a forcefield push you if you're lunging in the opposite direction it pushes you? I hope that made sense. TL:DR (Only if you want to) Try my previous idea, but hang on to the side facing the elephant so the forcefield can't push you (instead it should push you against the box, causing you to be in the forcefield zone when the field dissapears and move around freely) IDK IF IT'LL WORK THOUGH!

Lol, about half-way through I saw the sweet spot and shook my head as you missed it time and again XD. Glad you showed it to us, so now we can board Vah Ruta early!
2:06 is the exact moment I saw my life flash before my eyes.
This is exactly what happened when i first reached this boss ... it was my first divine boss. It say to ride the divine beast so i climbed to the highest mountain and paraglide and bam rejected flat out. Then i went back and read the quest dialogue and found it I actually have to talk to the prince of zora first lol.
When you died and fell onto the divine beast, it got me thinking, what if you have a fairy revive you after you fall onto it? Would you still be able to walk on it? And what about slingshotting yourself onto the beast by using stasis on a box?

I honestly really wish you could get into the Divine Beasts before going through the story. I honestly feel that have each of them in their little story spheres clashes with the open world nature of the game as a whole, and I wish this carried over to the Divine Beasts.

Rita was my first divine beast and I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing so I tried to land on it without shooting it with the shock arrows and hit the force field
