I think the crowd really liked it. Since they can't (probably) understand most of the lyrics, they focus mainly on the beat and the dance. In America, usually it is proper to wait until the end and give a big applause. I know it's nerve-wracking because different atmosphere but I think everything went fine. Girls did a very good cover 😇

Usually you clap at the very end of the performances, in programs like that and since they don’t know the song itself, they can’t jam to the awesomeness that is BlackPink.

Don't mind those serious people in the audience. Once they realize that it is blackpink and got introduce to k-pop, they will realize that they are missing a whole lot of the good stuff.
You have to understand their position though. This is an audience that's been used to American hiphop and pop already. Honestly when I found BP, I understand they're good but it wasn't something I loved, and it's still like that today for me

Violet Violets? Well i have to agree with that but let me say something about the preferences. Believe it or not, i actually detest k-pop or anything related to koreans. I mean , why would you love something that you can't evem understand right? I even use to tease my friends who listen to k-pop But i change. When i was in youtube watching different random things, i see the song that my friend always listen. That is boombayah. I tried it out of curiousity. I listen for it a few times and then i found myself actually enjoying it. That what pulls me into k-pop world. i try other songs from different groups including bts,Exo and twice. I also started to enjoy it. So yeah it must be the preferences of different persons listening to it.
