The reason RHOA is failing is not because who is on the show and who isn't. It is because they keep using the same formula with different ingredients and expecting magic. All the girls did not need to go to Birmingham with Kenya. We need more authentic and realistic situations. People are tired of the fake, contrived storylines.
These producers are tired, I want a season where the ladies barely interact, follow them and their lives individually and then send em on a group trip and give a reunion. Even if it were mostly drama free it would be refreshing

People do NOT do that IRL so why would they expect us to believe thats what's needed on the show JUST FOR DRAMA???? If i throw an event, my event needs to go off without a hitch, fight, fuss sess.....none of that!!!! Dating a married person is not debatable. It’s not wise and it’s very dangerous. Let that person completely close that chapter and don’t even place yourself in unnecessary drama!
As a divorced woman, DO NOT date someone going through a divorce. Even if you’re the one who initiated you still need time to GRIEVE, and that process can take at least 2-7 years (depending on how long you were married and if kids are involved). People don’t just get over people. So unless you want to end up being someone’s therapist and constantly having to hear about their resentment toward their ex-spouse, don’t date someone in the process of a divorce. It’s a red flag- run! 🏃🏾♀️💨
2-7 years? Girl that’s extreme! I’m going through a divorce now! Going to therapy now. Once my divorce is finalized in August I’m back to dating to find my correct husband! Who got 2-7 years to wait? That’s wild
2-7 years is a little extreme to wait (get therapy during the process), but people go back to their spouses mid-divorce a lot. I don’t think it’s safe to date someone until the divorce is final because they may reconcile with their spouse.

I think two things can be true at the same time. Special guest means opening act. Opening acts generally get 30 minutes on the stage to warm up the crowd before the main attraction. The headliner pays for everything. It looks like it was alot of unnecessary back and forth between both camps.
Anita got that very look like she's a snobby B. But don't get it twisted I love be some Anita n saw her in concert back in the day. Fairytale,Been So Long,No One In the World,And I Apologize is just a few of my JAMS!
I remember back in the day when Anita and Luther were touring together and Luther was the “ so called problem”. Staff members at the venues stated he shouted and had a fit because the a/c was left on after Anita’s rehearsal and he only sings with “ natural air”. Also, EnVogue had a similar story about Luther having a curtain put up to separate himself from them and making them go around and through another way to get to the stage. These people are stars but they are also human beings with different personalities and egos and sometimes things go left. In my humble opinion Babyface made a statement and just left it open for each person’s interpretation. Should he have been made it clearer that it was more a technical one and not Anita’s attitude or something of a personal nature, probably. Since he found out that his fans were attacking her he could have put out and amended statement that Anita shouldn’t be threatened because of difficulties beyond their control.
I think the show should replace this cast, with some actual housewives of Atlanta. This time make sure they are not from the racket classless section of Atlanta. I'm sure Atlanta has plenty of beautiful women that have class, and a husband. To much fighting and arguing all the time. Show the positive side of what Atlanta has to offer. Professional women and men, of class.
I do believe there can be exceptions to the rule. Like legally separated and proof that the divorce will be finalized sooner than later. And also, how long was the separation. If it’s fresh, absolutely not!
I don’t want Porsha back on RHOA. Granted I haven’t watched the actual show in about 3 seasons. The last one I watched in full was when Drew and Fallon were introduced. I just think this style of reality tv is just dying out.
I just hate how this Anita Baker/Babyface debacle has gotten. All I know is Babyface has never really been tied to industry drama. I do believe it is their "people" who have made this matter so ugly.
I hate that people are blaming Claudia and TeaGIF for Cocktails With Queens being cancelled. The two shows could absolutely exist together, but there is often overlap of hot topics. If they were to scrap their hot topics segment (which was only a small part of their show - TeaGIF’s whole show is built around them) then it could definitely work. Hate to see it go but glad Al Claudia and Funky will be on 5 nights a week! Don’t quit Funky! 😂😂

Like the concept, but not the execution. They never prepared for the topics and was just spewing feelings. Not sure what the goal was of that show. I agree with the comment that they need someone funny. And a different format might be helpful.

They did a show here in Baltimore. Anita kept stopping her show to yell at the sound guy. She stopped the show so much that sooooooo many people left. This is the second time I’ve seen her and she did the same thing the first show I saw years ago. But this time was so much worse. ANITA IS THE PROBLEM

I can say I have contributed to the decline in RHOA ratings. Between Kandi,Kenya and their fans online,the show has become unbearable to watch. Not to mention how many seasons are we going to watch Mama Joyce bash Todd or Kenya looking for a man? THESE ARE STORYLINES DATING BACK TO SEASONS 6!
I agree wholeheartedly! Not just Kenya and Kandis fans…it’s the entire fandom in general. The things people get online and say are disturbing. I understand that most people don’t like the Marlo-Sheree-Sanya trio but the way people attack them is disgusting. The way all the women get attacked is disgusting. I think Funky might be a bit biased when discussing Ms. Baker. Tank is not the only one coming to the defense of Babyface. The day Babyface apologized to his fans other celebrities were saying they worked with her and had a LOT to say about Ms. Baker. Including Loni Love, Stephanie Mills, Cheryl Lynn and a BUNCH of other people. She got a reputation here in Detroit that isn't so peachy. She the hometown girl but yeah. I personally took to TeaGIF, but I could never get into cocktails with queens. Lisa often appeared to be to busy to report to work or she simply didn’t care to do her research on the topics being discussed during the times that she was there. She often made ignorant colorist comments & she never seemed to be reprimanded for it. Selena seemed to be the only one that had balance & came to work.
This is what I’ve been yelling for months. Scrap the entire group and start OVER with people we do not KNOW! That’s why Carlos shows are doing so well, we brings in a group of people that no one knows. I’m so over this small Atlanta group of women. I know Atlanta is small but is it THAT small?
Love and Marriage Huntsville started off as a group of three couples looking to help low income families get housing and soon as Martell's private life was exposed, they do a complete shift and it because what it is today and I stopped watching two seasons ago.
RHOA has the same problem as some other shows I watch. They are catering to the niche online fans who live & breathe this stuff but there are MILLIONS of ppl who watch tv on cable still and are bored with it. The castmembers who may have large online followings aren’t necessarily appealing to the casual viewer.
I know you're right.. You must be from Detroit like I am. We knew about Aretha and her not liking to pay bills on time. She'd pay when she got good and ready. Yet we love both of them forever and a day. We feel a certain way when anyone outside of us criticize them. It's like we can share information amongst ourselves but get hot when outsiders say anything negative about our family.

I am the biggest Anita Baker fan no one loves her more than me! However if we are looking at her reputation in touring this go a round… I definitely believe she’s at fault. She does show up late, performance isnt top tier in Detroit she was limping and voiced several times she wanted to leave her set early. Voice is impeccable! Her tour needs some vibrance for sure its was a tad disappointing! Baker has a hx of not being able to fellowship well with other. I wish her the best but i hope shes careful with staining her legacy! Claudia , Al and Que tear the house down. I like that they all share different perspective on each topic, and they are funny. It is very entertaining to watch, The other show was boring.
I will say it for you. In my opinion, Cocktails was an inferior production. I found Claudia to be the most informed and most able to articulate her opinions. Too often, the topics presented were not fully vetted and presented and the co-hosts often faltered. I recorded it weekly but was never able to last an entire episode.

I’m glad you are discussing the RHOA ratings in this video Funky. This has been a hot topic you needed to discuss for a while. The show has lost its luster and the glamor is piss poor now. The show used to depict fabulosity and class along with the transparency of family life especially the mix of marriage and business ventures. Kandi is the only remnant of the old school RHOA with her transparent storylines. Everything else including Marlo’s mess is overly produced trash and folks like Sonya don’t make it any better and feels like the network is just picking random fans of the show off the street due to desparate scrambling.

I've NEVER been able to sit through a CWQ episode. I literally HATE that show! I can't stand anyone on that show except Claudia and Syleena. Vivica and that other woman lack intellect. Plain and simple.
I am happy for TGIF's extension, but am also deeply saddened by the loss of Cocktails with Queens. The show filled a void in speaking to African American women of a specific demographic in terms of life passages milestones, health, and politics with a touch of celebrity entertainment congruent to our age and interests- and felt as comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans on chill summer day. I will miss the ladies tremendously, but will enjoy Funky, Al & Claudia bringing the laughs every day. 💝💝💝

People have such low standards. Dating someone who is married or going thru a divorce (or breakup) is a recipe for disaster. These people are not seriously dating you. They are using you emotionally and physically while holding a space in their heart for the exes. Until they are completely over the break-up (and that will greatly depend on the person), they are not suitable partners.
The rockiest part of a breakup is usually witnessed at the beginning of the breakup. I would definitely not recommend anyone getting involved in another relationship. It's just too dangerous and a recipe for disaster. Emotions are running high! Somebody is usually more hurt than the other one, and throwing another person in that messy mix can get somebody hurt or killed. Nope! Steer clear, at least until the ink has dried.
I separated from my ex husband August 2018 & finalized my divorce August 2020. To each it's own, I will not judge cause I started dating while separated, but me personally I could not start a relationship because I was grieving the ending of my marriage even though I was over my ex....I mentally checked out of the marriage before the separation began. I didn't get into a relationship till March 2023, but it was short lived. I feel it was a preview of what's to come, him and I are on good terms. I honestly never understood how people can jump in a relationship freshly separated 🤔 or even freshly divorced.

Queens of Cocktails was a complete snooze fest 😴. I tried several times to watch it and support it but it wasn't working for me. The personalities didn't mesh for me. Syleena and Lisa Raye were always frowning and just not upbeat and it translated through the screen many times. I wish them all the best.

I'm ready for the housewives franchise to get back to the essence of why people were interested in the first place. Following the lives of legit rich strangers in circles with other legit rich people who are actually MARRIED housewives and no more mistresses (unless they're very interesting). And show us a new dynamic of a new group of legit rich people and price tags of outlandish purchases.
I was dating before my divorce was final and yes, it helped me in a lot of ways because for one, there was no room for him to coax me back in (this time) because my focus was elsewhere and to be honest, I had already been checked out of the marriage for a while so to me, I was more than ready. Do what works for YOU!

As a divorced woman, DO NOT date someone going through a divorce. Even if you’re the one who initiated you still need time to GRIEVE, and that process can take at least 2-7 years (depending on how long you were married and if kids are involved). People don’t just get over people. So unless you want to end up being someone’s therapist and constantly having to hear about their resentment toward their ex-spouse, don’t date someone in the process of a divorce. It’s a red flag- run! 🏃🏾♀️💨

I think two things can be true at the same time. Special guest means opening act. Opening acts generally get 30 minutes on the stage to warm up the crowd before the main attraction. The headliner pays for everything. It looks like it was alot of unnecessary back and forth between both camps.

I remember back in the day when Anita and Luther were touring together and Luther was the “ so called problem”. Staff members at the venues stated he shouted and had a fit because the a/c was left on after Anita’s rehearsal and he only sings with “ natural air”. Also, EnVogue had a similar story about Luther having a curtain put up to separate himself from them and making them go around and through another way to get to the stage. These people are stars but they are also human beings with different personalities and egos and sometimes things go left. In my humble opinion Babyface made a statement and just left it open for each person’s interpretation. Should he have been made it clearer that it was more a technical one and not Anita’s attitude or something of a personal nature, probably. Since he found out that his fans were attacking her he could have put out and amended statement that Anita shouldn’t be threatened because of difficulties beyond their control.

If they were to scrap their hot topics segment (which was only a small part of their show - TeaGIF’s whole show is built around them) then it could definitely work. Hate to see it go but glad Al Claudia and Funky will be on 5 nights a week! Don’t quit Funky! 😂😂

I personally took to TeaGIF, but I could never get into cocktails with queens. Lisa often appeared to be to busy to report to work or she simply didn’t care to do her research on the topics being discussed during the times that she was there. She often made ignorant colorist comments & she never seemed to be reprimanded for it. Selena seemed to be the only one that had balance & came to work.

She does show up late, performance isnt top tier in Detroit she was limping and voiced several times she wanted to leave her set early. Voice is impeccable! I will say it for you. In my opinion, Cocktails was an inferior production. I found Claudia to be the most informed and most able to articulate her opinions. Too often, the topics presented were not fully vetted and presented and the co-hosts often faltered. I recorded it weekly but was never able to last an entire episode.

I’m glad you are discussing the RHOA ratings in this video Funky. This has been a hot topic you needed to discuss for a while. The show has lost its luster and the glamor is piss poor now. The show used to depict fabulosity and class along with the transparency of family life especially the mix of marriage and business ventures. Kandi is the only remnant of the old school RHOA with her transparent storylines. Everything else including Marlo’s mess is overly produced trash and folks like Sonya don’t make it any better and feels like the network is just picking random fans of the show off the street due to desparate scrambling.

I am happy for TGIF's extension, but am also deeply saddened by the loss of Cocktails with Queens. The show filled a void in speaking to African American women of a specific demographic in terms of life passages milestones, health, and politics with a touch of celebrity entertainment congruent to our age and interests- and felt as comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans on chill summer day. I will miss the ladies tremendously, but will enjoy Funky, Al & Claudia bringing the laughs every day. 💝💝💝

People have such low standards. Dating someone who is married or going thru a divorce (or breakup) is a recipe for disaster. These people are not seriously dating you. They are using you emotionally and physically while holding a space in their heart for the exes. Until they are completely over the break-up (and that will greatly depend on the person), they are not suitable partners.

The rockiest part of a breakup is usually witnessed at the beginning of the breakup. I would definitely not recommend anyone getting involved in another relationship. It's just too dangerous and a recipe for disaster. Emotions are running high! Somebody is usually more hurt than the other one, and throwing another person in that messy mix can get somebody hurt or killed. Nope! Steer clear, at least until the ink has dried.

I separated from my ex husband August 2018 & finalized my divorce August 2020. To each it's own, I will not judge cause I started dating while separated, but me personally I could not start a relationship because I was grieving the ending of my marriage even though I was over my ex....I mentally checked out of the marriage before the separation began. I didn't get into a relationship till March 2023, but it was short lived. I feel it was a preview of what's to come, him and I are on good terms. I honestly never understood how people can jump in a relationship freshly separated 🤔 or even freshly divorced.

I will say this, not trying to be negative, but Cocktails with the Queens just didn’t keep my attention. I tried to watch as often as I could. Now TeaGIF, EXCELLENT!!! The chemistry is perfect! Love you Dineva, Al and Claudia!

If Babyface was above Anita he'd be headlining his own tour instead of doing casinos and theatres like he was just two years ago...
People should realize that for the most part, by the time someone has filed for divorce, the have already mentally moved on from the relationship. There is no one formula as to how when someone needs to move on.

Queens of Cocktails was a complete snooze fest 😴. I tried several times to watch it and support it but it wasn't working for me. The personalities didn't mesh for me. Syleena and Lisa Raye were always frowning and just not upbeat and it translated through the screen many times. I wish them all the best.

I'm ready for the housewives franchise to get back to the essence of why people were interested in the first place. Following the lives of legit rich strangers in circles with other legit rich people who are actually MARRIED housewives and no more mistresses (unless they're very interesting). And show us a new dynamic of a new group of legit rich people and price tags of outlandish purchases.

I was dating before my divorce was final and yes, it helped me in a lot of ways because for one, there was no room for him to coax me back in (this time) because my focus was elsewhere and to be honest, I had already been checked out of the marriage for a while so to me, I was more than ready. Do what works for YOU!
As a single person I don’t want to help you out, or be your distraction. Dating someone in the divorce process makes me a rebound. Now, do what you want with that information.

Cocktails with the Quuens was a group of unprepared women coming together talking about topics that they clearly had not researched. They were also too afraid to speak openly and honestly about topics that involved their friends or famous people. I won't miss the show...at all.
Exactly even Claudia at times didn't want to ruffle feathers with industry friends, so it was too sugar coated, no real opinions, AL and Funky keep Claudia real because they are not going to agree with her always. I found her annoying on cocktails tbh but love her on TGIF, Selena reminded me of ole aunty on the porch ole slow talkin, taking long to get to the point ass, Lisa seemed clueless often times, Vivica was ok sometimes she kept it real but was still too agreeable. I used to watch it then I got bored! Now I hope TGIF don't bore me with over saturation sometimes less is more your value goes up when not as available. But we will see how it goes.
