      Markforall Oh no, did my my use of the word "important" trigger you? Seems like you are the one in need of tumblr. Ironic.

      +techdeathology How dare you have your own opinion of importance right?
      Seriously. Defeater is amazing. I see very few bands that are able to carry, and convey such atmosphere in their productions. The ability to do so, IN MY OPINION, makes them pretty god damn important. Especially when it comes to the ever decaying social perspective of real music.

    Glad to see them switch it up.. I bet most people expected to hear "I don't mind." I would have loved to have heard "headstone." That song is pro

    One of their best songs, and one of my all time favorite songs ever.

    Why do I always miss the live sessions of my favorite artists? I love this performance but I wasn't feeling the backing vocals much. The music is spotless though.

    Somebody knows what kind of overdrive do the guitarists use?

      Not sure about Jake, but Jay just goes straight into a volume pedal and then right into the amp I believe.

    3:21 is a moment I’ll never forget.

    does anyone here now how he gets that guitar sound effect?
    Is it just a volume pedal or is he using a gate or something?

    • @coltonfrausell9047

      IAmBreeBreekachu I think its an Ernie Ball MVP for the volume control plus a delay pedal

    • @Hockeyjew702
      @Hockeyjew702 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, that Martin might be thousands of dollars... Plus he's using some pedals... Probably a delay, maybe an acoustic booster pedal or something... But having a REALLY nice quality guitar makes all the difference.

      because I actually meant the electric one..

    If anyone likes Defeater than you should also like Counterparts.

    God 3:21 is such an unwelcome and unexpected twist.

    This took a drastic turn for the worse at 3:29. Was incredibly clean and beautiful until that ridiculous and obnoxious fill. Guitars fall out as a result of the timing and bass misses the slide in. God, I miss Andy so much. He really brought and kept this band together.

    • @matthewdoesntlikeit
      @matthewdoesntlikeit ปีที่แล้ว

      Met Andy twice and after my own adventures being in punk and hardcore touring bands for about 8 years, he was still one of the most genuine, sweet and compelling human beings I met on my journey.
