✍️Who am I?
I'm Daiki, originally from Kyoto, Japan. I moved to Finland for my masters degree in business in 2016 and now I'm working in the capital area, Helsinki. Through this channel I'm hoping to share my experience in Finland and sometimes abroad, including culture, career, lifestyle and travel diaries.
I actively share my experience and learnings on Twitter and in my blog. Also, don't forget to subscribe this channel as I upload a video about Finnish culture and Nordic lifestyle EVERY WEEKEND! :)

awesome vlog!! loved every second of it.
Thank you!
cozy vlog, like it a lot!
Thanks for watching!
So we've now seen you do both the cross-country skiing and the downhill skiing, but what about ice skating? Could that be an idea for one of your future videos? And yes, one of the downsides of living in Southern Finland is the lack of proper slopes. I can only imagine what it's like if you're used to skiing in Japan and Canada... 😅
I have done it and filmed it actually :)
@@DAIKIFinlandLife Ah, then I must have just missed it, thank you!
My japanese mother in law is visiting from Hawai'i next week. We would like to take her to some nice apanese restaurants but we do not know that many in Helsinki. I only know Kabuki and Murasaki, do you have any recommendations?
Murasaki, Owan, Muji, Kamome :)
When was this filmed? Because if it's very recent then the reason it's empty is probably because it's easter and usually this holiday is spent doing "Virvonta" I don't know if there even is a English word for it but it's kind of a ritual where you dress up kind of like during halloween and trick or treat but instead it's the dress is pretty specific and you have this song you sing and then you might get candy & stuff. We would do this all day as kids and get a kilo of candy it was glorious.
Three weeks ago!
@@DAIKIFinlandLife Oh okay then it wasn't during Easter, well then it's quite unusual that a ski resort isn't busy.
