What kind of remote work do you do that has no patient interaction and rare co-worker interaction? That would be ideal for me at this point in my career.
I'm officially called a "nurse coordinator", but find this title a little different from what I actually do! I review medical charts to see if a person is a suitable bone marrow donor.
You can also look into prior authorization for no patient interaction. You would approve requests such as elective surgeries, consultations, equipment etc or send to your medical director for denial.
Thank you for creating a great video! I would like to venture into remote nursing in the Fall (after we close on our house). I have an MSN in nurse education and I am an OR nurse. Wondering what you would suggest for me. I would like to be home more with my toddler but still work full time. I see a lot of remote positions but I want to find a reputable company to work for. Your job working with potential bone marrow confidantes sounds so interesting!
Hi there! Glad i found your channel. Any advice as to what kind of nursing job I should look into that is 100% remote and that I do not have to live in the US. I am an American RN, but am moving across seas in a few years. Thank you in advance.
Check out Osmosis! They have both US and outside US jobs and are currently hiring. If you get a job, please come back to the channel and let us know! I’m sure others would appreciate the insight 🙂
Hi there, I would recommend shadowing your hospital inpatient case manager (if you work inpatient). Also, I would recommend getting involved in any quality or process improvement nursing committees.
@@NomadNurseZ thank you for the reply! Is there any way of getting some similar experience that would look good to an employer since I have no case manager experience. I have some admin type experience working at a physical therapy clinic but I am not sure if that would count.
@@mexicanakinskywalker6762 if you have additional time, I would recommend networking on LinkedIn. This way you can build relationships now so you’re prepared once ready to look for a job.
I am US nurse stranded overseas due to family care, I think will be for couple years. Do you have any leads on any job that allows to work from overseas?
I am not sure if you have videos on this already. If you do please refer me to them. But is there anyway to acquire a remote job without having clinical experience (e.g. as a new grad that has lots of non nursing clinical experience)?
Yes, you can! It is easier of course to find jobs when you have nursing experience. But depending on your background, you may want to look into appeals/denials with insurance companies, coding, or HEDIS. I find those want the degree sometimes but no always the experience part. It will take some time to research but just be patient and the right job will present :)
I recommend looking at FlexJobs, Indeed, and LinkedIn for remote jobs. There are filters you use to narrow down your search to only remote jobs. Best of luck!
No patient interaction? What a dream
Thanks for the insight. Looking into remote nursing jobs as well. Also, that wall looks so pretty!

No patients, no coworkers. I want your job!
I would love to work at home and this is very interesting. Do you have any for me 🙏🏾
The job you have is what I want! No patient interaction, no coworkers. What do you do?! What company do you work for?!

Do you have to stay in the country for your job? And did you need lots of clinical experience before starting?
@@houloa554 hi there! Yes, I can go anywhere within the USA, but cannot go outside country at this time.
@@NomadNurseZ Thank you! Do you mean that you can’t go because of COVID or your job doesn’t allow you at all.
Great info; thanks for making it!
Great insight thank you!!

As a new grad what is the best way to get experience so that a new grad can land a role as a remote case manager or something similar ?

@@NomadNurseZ Hello! Do US based remote jobs allow for work from Puerto Rico? It is a US territory but not a state. Just wondering if you know :)
