Governor screwed up the whole show . 1. You dont refer to other singers , like mehdi hassan etc.when u offer a tribute to a particular artist .2 He behaved like a governor not like an admirer receiving Ustaad Khyal Mohammad as if he was doing some mercy on the crowd by showing his presence. He should have said " on behalf of all the dignitaries, and every individual in attendance , I very warmly welcome the one and only, the trend setter , the unrepeatable Ustaad Khyal Mohammad gracing the occasion. 3. When Ustaad Khyal Mohammad sb appeared on the stage , these buggers were supposed to be standing on the stage giving a "Standing Ovation " to Ustaad Khyal Mohammad. When the governor spoke , Ustaad Khyal Mohammad sb was sitting alone and unattended, this was not expected i didnt feel good. 4. The Governor should have said " Legend " not "hero ". Hero falls in a different Category. The Afghan Consulate General was slightly better. 5. They skipped so many achievements of the Legendary Artist Ustaad Khyal Mohammad in the Documentary. The governor said " my ADC is prompting me blah blah .. why do u say this in the mic ? this is again a disrespect to the Man in Focus ( Ustaad sb ). If u r running short of time , just sum it up and get lost. Bakhtyar said "medal of homanity " this is Humanity not homanity. m sorry but this event could have been made much better, Ustaad Khyal Mohammad was not just a singer he was an Institution in himself.
