The man in the suit with the umbrella with a horned handle that makes the ground shake is a rather fearsome bull-horned deity or “fairy” and of course makes me also think of a devil like Lucifer is supposed to have become according to the popular folklore . . .
The character is based on an actual historical monk and saint named Tripitaka in English. The ‘Sam’ of Samjung, say, means three so it gets translated ‘Tri’. He traveled to India amidst great danger to fetch Buddhist scrolls and translate them into Chinese characters . . . The 1978 Japanese TV series that was shown in North America as *Monkey* also made Tripitaka a woman and was very popular at the time around the world . . .
If only this drama had a music like that of the tale of the nine tailed which i still remember for being terrifying it would have been 100 times better bc it's quite scary even like this
