I've been a subscriber of your channel since your PCT hike. Anyway, I live in central Florida and have a PCT permit for March21. If your in the area I can recommend adventures (snorkeling, biking, etc) and have gear you are welcome to borrow (like a mtn bike, snorkel gear, inflatable kayak etc). Or maybe I can buy you a coffee.
If you’re still in the area, BearLake is a nice 4 mile hike, or 6 if you take the bike trail. . Also, just south if Crestview you can get in the Florida Trail very easily. It is right in Hwy 85. Ft Pickens is a great area to explore too.
Not much for the trails on Florida but I will be watching to see... I don't think you brought a folding bike but you can walk some of the East Coast Greenway in Florida on the East Coast. It goes from Maine (border of Canada) to Key West. Anyway, maybe you can hike (walk) a few miles of it.
I was going to mention the manatee. Crystal River is only place in N America its legal to swim with, and pet, manatee. Park at Crystal River Kayak Company, and its a 10 minute kayak trip to the manatee. I've taken my sons there so often they now whine about swimming with manatee. Enjoy the sea cows. I know you won't complain about it.
I've been there! It's pretty awesome. There weren't a lot of manatee when I went, but we saw a few. Then went for a swim at Three Sisters and had a water snake on some sort come straight at me! 😳 My Aunt lives not far from there, I was down for a visit from Toronto.
Hey Jay ….so you and my other favorite hiking vlogger are in Florida this winter. Kelly hays hikes. It would be cool if you could do a fireside chat together. She hiked Florida trail last year, you both did the AT. And many others. You could exchange ideas and advice
thank you jay for this keep posting an traveling

Hey Jay,
We used to go to Sanibel Island, several places to put in at the state park there on the island. Manatees there.
There's free camping in Florida Water Management Districts. You have to reserve a spot though. National Forests allow free dispersed camping.
Hi Jay, Great video that looked like a nice spot!
Awesome video, so glad to have you back making content again
Awesome video nice to see you back
Great to see you back at it, Jay.

You should go tag Britton Hill. It's the highest point in Florida and just north of where you are. Just another item to check off your bucket list.

Florida Trail can often be wet or flooded in spots.
Good luck
