According to Peter Windsor, who has checked the telemetry, Max let Alonso by, right after he did that, Alonso hit the brakes and took his speed down to 129 kph to create a gap to the cars ahead in preparation for his flying lap. In response to that, Max hit his brakes and slowed to something around 167 kph, I believe. As well, according to the ruling, which Peter also read on his podcast, the stewards believed Russell had sufficient visibility of the actions in front of him. Whether that included seeing Alonso slow is not stated since the stewards didn’t address Alonso’s role in the penalty. Given all this, it seems like George did the equivalent of taking a fall in football to draw the penalty. Since it was likely like this, George had to double down in the stewards meeting to sell his complaint. This is likely why Max teed off on George in the FIA post-race interview.
Absolutely insane that they were seemingly completely fine with the idea of running the rest of the race with a yellow flag at the only place on the track where you could actually overtake.

Oh, how we miss Charlie 😢
@@mattalford389 charlie whitting right?
@Teiganski Whiting. Yes
why not just post it in the main channel instead of creating a new one.
Probably because the algorithm
Podcast kind of videos probably get less view than normal content and that can tank the main channel
@@randomguy4616 Only, since they've been putting them out here theyr views have plummeted and every podcast has been tanking.

Max exposed George's character.
It doesn't look pretty or respectable.
Max talks shit about his competitor behind his back to the media.
So stunning and brave, exposed his own character as well.
Nope, George just has the wrong passport.
Not really surprising, its been kinda obvious that George is a pure PR merchant
Is this tellsell?
