@madcatproductions That's the whole idea, it's supposed to sound muddy, adds to the atmosphere of heaviness they already have. With newer stuff it's so easy to have over polishing, and fixing things that really don't need to be fixed, because it's all digital, anything with the click of a mouse.
that guitar sounds like something off a melvins or big business record. i very much like it. i like this new direction they are going. i do ADORE the slower, heavier style more, that's for sure.

I wouldn't call it muddy, it's just the drums and bass aren't present enough. If they came through a little tighter/louder, it'd be perfect. My speakers are weak though.

Wizard fans are too persnickety. I always wanted them to play ever so slightly faster so they could really rip down on the world, and they heard that everywhere they went, and so now they play ever so slightly faster and people shit on it because they are used to the old stuff and think it lost "pounds".

As an a big fan of the Wizard I was not too happy with this album. It was pretty much a rehashing of Witchcult without any newfound heavy revelations. Their sound even was a lot less powerful than past albums--I felt a bit deprived of heaviness--maybe by a couple hundred pounds
