I remember my second time as syndie: -Steal the nuclear authentication disk -kill the captain - escape on the shuttle alive and undetained ...Yeah I didn't get any of those done
3rd time as Syndie I had kill captain, take their jetpack, and escape. I was a Engineer and was planning on using the turret disguised as a electrical toolbox and a pen e-blade to jump the capt, but other syndies killed me TWICE! (Thankfully med was doing their job), first time I died my PDA, along with the e-pen in it was stolen, and the second time the box was stolen. I was figuring “well there’s no way I can’t take the captain in a fight NOW.” And they just happened to have the jetpack in their hands and slipped. I yoinked it after they dropped it and ran just as the emergency shuttle docked, went in, and hid in a locker until launch. 2/3 ain’t bad.
I suffer the curse of nonexistence, no one can ever see my corpse or hear me on the radio. But as a consolation, I can do stuff like enter and emag QM stuff's in front of all cargo and a detective twice (because I took the wrong computer card the first time) or replacing HoP and giving AA to everyone with few remarks.
i feel like with how the objectives work and how difficult it can get, escape pods should count for the escaping alive objective, especially since it would allow for less discrete planning and execution and it would avoid the usual shuttle bombing that syndies do when they have to kill someone but didnt do it until the end of the shift (this has been awful for me as a syndie, since they usually almost end up killing the syndie i was supposed to protect or kill me).
One time I had to get corgi meat as chef and some passenger just drags the dog's body to the kitchen. HoP was so careful most of that round too, so I went back to work thinking I'd have to get it later somehow and just lucked out. We split the meat and went on with our business until everyone evacuated. Meat safely stored in my chef's hat. Edit: HoS is not the worst person to give your objectives to. Particularly the captains spare id as they go where they please with back up guaranteed. HoP already has AA and is effectively the pencil pusher captain.
Played syndi, had to get a crystal shaving and steal the nuke disk. I started as bartender, and I got as far as tricking an engi to fix my backroom door and garoted them. I couldn't figure out where to find any mag boots and got stumped. A rule of thumb I have now to avoid playing scared is "play like you'll die if you fail your job".
My first time as a traitor I was a traitor clown. My objectives were to steal the station AI and the nuclear disk. I am not joking in the slightest. You can probably guess how that went 👍
TONIGHT was my first syndie round. Obj was experimental research hardsuit, QM's order tablet, and escape alive. With the emag and subdermal storage it was a piece of cake! I was salvage, so my suit helped hide me- I stood inside a plant for like 5 minutes while Sec and the RD fixed doors a half-screen away 😂🎉
Im sure this will help the new players loads! In my personal opinion Ian's meat will always be the number one hardest objective for me it is my dreaded task along with any Id board too steal.
@@haroldtony170 hop ID is infinitely mode easier than the one on salv that one annoys the hell out of me but true that's usually the best way of going about it

@@Volcano22207 That's mostly to stop sh**ters. So antags don't go around just blasting everything in sight or sabotaging every single substation in maints. But if you, for example, decide to detonate a welder bomb. Admins aren't going to go after you asking "was that part of your objectives"? Now, if you blow up like all the tanks in the station, now there may be a problem because you are just ruining the round for everybody by making it impossible to use a welder. As long as it falls between the severity of your typical objectives there usually won't be a problem. Offing a couple bystanders as an agent is ok since you may get several kill objectives per round. Nukies are allowed to gun down everything in their path since their objective is nuke detonation anyway. But they are not allowed to chase down everyone because it would make the round unfun for everyone with the delay + round removal.
While talking about the HoP objectives you forgot to mention about command checkpoints which 4 maps out of 12 like have and they spawn with one ID computer by default. Also are you planning on making a detailed atmos guide and a gas mixing guide? (what I mean by that is creating gases like frezon via mix and etc.) If you aren't I would really appreciate If you made them.
Yeah I coulda included those maps but I felt that'd get wordy and that's more advanced info than a beginner needs imo. I'll probably do more Atmos guides I just started playing it again
How to completr these objectives also vary between servers. For example in Nyanotrasen there are no spare boards in lockers but you can usually find one in the CE's board vault.
My first traitor objective ever in SS13 was "1.Steal Captains Jetpack and 2. Hijack the escape shuttle". Stealing the jetpack was easy enough since my friends at botany had already made omnizine bluespace weed. I just teleported into his office and nicked it. Hijacking a shuttle wasn't happening though.

Delightfully devilish.
