"I wish it would FOCUS" All of my teachers my entire life. Hahah. I love your commentary in your videos! Glad to see she's back out in the woods at the end, but this time under her own power!
Great project car because of the low level of structural rust. Most cars abandoned in the woods have no floors left. I have a 65 from California with all the 1968 accessories . Overdrive , dual brakes , 240 booster, headrests, j type overdrive etc . If you have a problem with the generator it is usually the voltage regulator. Bosch sells a classic regulator with solid state insides. The relays in the original usually corrode. Driving a 122 is great fun and you get to meet so many people that love it.
Nice work, you’ve done so much in a short time! Can’t believe that you done need an inspection test for the Amazon. One of my cars recently failed because the battery wasn’t strapped down tightly enough! Looking forward to some RX-7 content.
Thank you sir! Georgia is funny like that. They require emissions on cars newer that 25 yrs old. Though if it can drive down the road and you licensed it, AND its older than 25 yrs... good to go LOL. The 7's really deserve some screen time. Especially the red one as it's a rather long story.
Goldenshower... LOL Freudian slip, perhaps? All kidding aside, I am loving this series since recently coming across it. I purchased a 1966 Amazon a few days ago, so have been doing a ton of research into options as I get ready to start work and customize my ride. It will be a 3-season car where I am though as winter is hell on vehicles here.
This is what I love to hear! Thank you for checking out the series. I'm still have this car and trying to decide what direction I need to go with it. Currently it sits at my office so I can take it to lunch once in a while. Definitely lower your '66 AND find a way to make it cruise a bit faster! Cheers!! -Dean
@@DeanofMachines I've just watched almost the entire series, got the final 2 parts left. This is actually great. I'm a novice into cars but this summer I found an old volvo 300 that had been untouched for 40 years pretty much. Bought it, drove it, repaired what broke and kept doing it. Had to do pretty much exactly what you've done and it's fun seeing someone else struggle with the same things. Next goal for me is to get an Amazon and renovate it.
@@ASDASD34RDFS The struggle is real with this one. @SimpsonsClassics just picked up a 300 in about the same condition as my amazon. He also has an amazon project.
@@DeanofMachines Oh yhea I've seen that. He has a newer one, I had the -79 model. He will have it easier than me to find parts. I had to abandon the project because I couldn't find new drive joints for the rear wheels.
First comment! I win
You win all of the internets! (While supplies last) P.S. we're all out.
The exterior aesthetics are pretty much perfect. Can’t fake it.
I love the looks of it for that reason alone. Completely authentic patina is a thing of beauty.

I have to cut out most of my rambling so people think im somewhat sane LOL

Thank you for all the great information Andrea! This one definitely needs some floor love. Hoping to have another update out in a couple weeks!
Short video but it's nice to see the car out cruising!
Wtf I'm only just noticing the license plate wall, so cool 😃 Great work as always
@involvo'd It has been there for a minute but more recently I've added to it.
Time to spend some love on that interior!
I'm torn between keeping the seats original or getting some plaid cloth covers for them. Or a whole new fresh interior.
Not bad at all, your work - its not an over-restauration - also a method which I learned to like. Good job at all !
Thank you very much! I cannot afford a full restoration but I can fix many things for cheap.

Congrats on getting the Amazon up and running. Watched a Swedish advert for the Amazon. They pronounced it "Ahmazoon"
Haha thats hilarious
Can't wait to see the Amazon ripping on the Dragon. Did you ever get overdrive working?
Yes! Overdrive has been working flawlessly!
Hey dean, who knew that it would run better with new wires over 40yr old ones! 😂
Go figure right? If I can get some plugs ordered they"ll find their way in too.
Deann!amazing uploading!see you on my side,;)
Thank you! I enjoy my uploads too!
Hej! (swedish)
Hej!!
I find your lack of wd-40 disturbing
We are a big PB Blaster kind of garage since WD-40 doesn't work as great. Though most of the hardware on this car is coming apart easily.
