Loved the history lesson. It was so informative and gave so much context to the scripture and helped me understand like I never before. Thank you!

Was Jesus nice or holy? In your opening comments you are trying to be nice. You think Jesus would have been silent toward the democrats of His day if they supported baby butchering in the womb, child genitalia mutilation, homosexuality, all sorts of sexual perversion being promoted, etc?
Stop being nice. As a pastor, your job isn't to be a nice, loving, safe zone. You are working in a hospital. Open your doors to those who are willing to say "and such were some of us", stricken with our repulsive sin, that God hates, but we own it, acknowledge it, we don't diminish it, we don't pretend like it isn't offensive to a holy God.
Stop being a nice guy. Be a holy leader. "Be holy, for I am holy"
Sorry, pastor, that's the standard. You can go the way of Andy Stanley and others who are trying to help God make the Bible, holiness, the gospel, etc more palatable but all you are doing is trivializing God, His Word and the Cross. Stop!!
