Currently binge-watching your videos! I’ll be applying this upcoming cycle and I’m quite nervous as I should be lol! You should post more on your undergraduate journey and your experience with the MCAT! Thanks for the videos, really insightful information 🙂
Thank you!! I am sure you will do great next cycle! And I will definitely post on those topics! Thanks for the suggestions 🙌🏽. Let me know if you ever have any specific questions! 😊👍🏽
Emory is also my dream medical school. I really want to go there. Could you possibly give me some advice about what extracurriculars you did and what your MCAT score was. Some advice could help me out a lot. Thanks bro and wish you the best of luck.
Absolutely bro! My next few videos will be going over exactly that (extracurriculars, the primary app, etc.). And in my last video I reveal my MCAT score (hint: it’s not crazy high lol). Hopefully all of your questions will be answered once this series is complete! 🙌🏽
I can’t remember any particular questions they asked, but they were very general interview questions (why medicine, why Emory, etc.). It was very low stress. I’d recommend checking out my All Things Interview video where I go into more details on the questions and how to prepare. I hope this helps!
I did take biochemistry. But I know some programs are not requiring it. I would look at the programs you would want to go to and if none of them require it you wouldn’t have to take it. That being said, you will have more options by taking it since a lot of schools still require it.
I really do, to both of those things. It will come up on the MCAT and will be one of your first blocks in medical school, so to already have that experience in it really helps
Nice!!! 🙌🏽 The prerequisites May seem intimidating, and some of them may be challenging, but there is a unique fulfillment that comes from pursuing medicine as a career. And the challenges are part of what makes it so gratifying! I’d definitely say go for it!!
I am pre med student here in Georgia State University. And I am planning to apply for Emory University School Of Medicine. And tips, what years should I take MCAT? And How early do I have to apply?
If you want to go straight to medical school without taking any gap years, you’ll want to take the MCAT after your junior year (which means you want to finish all your pre-reqs before then). And you want to begin putting your application together toward the end of your junior year and submit it in the following summer/fall
This is great content JR and captures the Emory experience pretty well, I was hoping for a cameo of me at some point but its fine no hard feelings haha!! Just subscribed, can't wait to see more from you!
I would advise not going to Emory unless you're on scholarship. They charge like they're a top 5 medical school when they aren't even top 30. Love you content by the way! I've been binge watching your videos!

That man brought out the word juxtapose. Great insight on disparities in medicine.

Evolving Medic Hey I don’t see where you revealed your MCAT, What’s the video called and the time stamp?
What were some of the questions that you were asked during your Emory interview? This is my dream school as well.

Evolving Medic I already watched it! Thanks.
Did you take biochemistry?? I have noticed some medical schools require it while others do not.

@@EvolvingMedic Do you think taking it has helped you in medical school? Also , do you think it helped your performance on the mcat?

Can't wait I may go to medical school got do my prerequisites though :)...

Haha I wish I would’ve gotten some footage with you bro!! But I appreciate it! I’m also looking forward to the virtual second look later today ✊🏽
Random question but I'm curious, do you wear your earrings during your interviews ?
Great question. I took my earrings off because I think jewelry in general (other than a watch) can sometimes be distracting in interviews

Thank you so much bro! I appreciate that support!
i thought emory was top 20?
