- Investigators say there's mounting evidence that Hamas militants committed 'widespread' sexual crimes against Israeli women and men during the October 7 terror attacks. Many in Israel have accused the UN and international media of ignoring the issue. Hamas is a militant, Islamist, Palestinian group. The European Union as well as the United States, Germany and several other countries classify Hamas as a terrorist organization.

I can't even describe to you as Israeli how alone and betrayed we feel after the October 7th. Just today the U.N made a vote and 99 countries supported a ceasefire without even condemning H amas and without even mentioning the hostages. My Country was one of the countries against the Resolution that was held on October 27th simply because Hamas was NOT condemned and directly declared as terroristic attack and organization. We see you. Many people see what is happening, even if their countries were pro Resolution. Just listening to this, making me very sick. I work in health care industry and i can't imagine how the survivors and their families will cope, even for eye witnesses. This is life time torcher for survives and their families and for the country. This pain never go away and rest of the life live with this horrible memories and the pain.This much happened to Israel and it's innocent people and UN security council is asking Israel to cease the war. Surprised?! ...now? I'm just an ordinary woman from sweden I've known this for more than a month. Really suspected it the same day looking at the clips shown at the news. I stream news so easy to stop the broadcast and really double check if I saw right, I was shocked.. The girl with a bloody bottom being dragged into the jeep + the woman helplessly lying on a flatbed (car/jeep?) with both bare legs broken in several places are burned into my mind...didn't need to see more than to understand that something more awful than usual had happened ...more than murder. It's so surreal that people don't understand that this was planned in detail to provoke the most respons, to make the most damage also for "their own" to be the ultimate victims in the end. I really think Israelis are somewhat restrained in their respons if I think about it. And I really hope one day that ordinary Palestinians will understand the full extent of evil in this plan.

The atrocities were so bad the counselors that were brought in to help the people that removed and prepped the bodies had to have counselling too.
All the crimes that were committed on October 7 were not, for lack of a better word 'normal' crimes. It seems every type of crime committed on the day was an extreme version. Extreme to the point of inhuman and these inhuman crimes do not seem to have been isolated, they were systematically repeatedly perpetrated in many locations. Note, my first 'reply' was deleted.
Meanwhile, UN Security Council and some UK News media e.g BBC Channel 4 News, Sky News et al only focus on the humanitarian condition in Gaza; turning a blind eye on the horror of October 7and would rather air negative reportings on the current IDF's operation in Gaza.
That's because casualties are reaching over 20000 for the campaign in Gaza, most likely violating proportionality. This news piece is important because it is showing the culmination of evidence from the atrocities in Oct 7, it took a while that's why it wasn't constantly reported compared to the hostages situation and the increase in Gaza deaths.

@@matthewmiller6568 That's right but even the IDF can confirm thousands of Palestinians are dead and Gaza's health ministry numbers were similar to Israeli numbers in previous conflicts like in the 2014 fighting. There's a reason the IDF are slow to talk about the number of civilian deaths because that bad PR would slow down their current mission.

Yes it would be good for a UN rapporteur to investigate. They are terribly underfunded, and I am not sure if the IDF have or will cooperate. Israel is a very rich country and cold fund a full independent investigation easily. They manage the narrative very tightly. At the moment they only way an international reporter can go into Gaza to report what is actually happening is with the IDF and the IDF reviews all footage made and can throw out things they don't like. Taht is the deal. The reporters' movements in Gaza are strictly controlled.

As a woman, I share my anger and despair for the mistreatment of Israeli women. They were victimized twice , first by Hamas and then by the international organizations, who until today refuse to condemn Hamas.

Israelis have wonderful respect for their dead & each girl was only treated by women at each stage of the process. I think that is extremely respectful. No. She was dead the whole time. They found enough skull fragments in the field where she was taken to confirm. Please EXPLAIN WHY ISRAEL WOULD BLOCK INVESTIGATORS (from Western & UN agencies). Also, Israel has offered NO EVIDENCE that could be admissible in Western courts -- they've offered only 2nd- and 3rd-person accounts (which is very speculative). If you listen carefully (to what people say AND what they DON'T say), you will understand that in this video, no one had any evidence -- they only "heard" it. Also, Israel failed to collect very EASY TO GET EVIDENCE, in these alleged crimes. For example, everyone has smartphones with cameras. The IDF woman @0:50 was involved in autopsies & collecting victims' bodies. BUT Israel took no photos of bodies, which are easy to do and COULD show crimes (if they had photos). ISRAEL HAS NO OR WEAK EVIDENCE -- because its goal is to INCITE & ANGER the world -- to JUSTIFY its BRUTAL VIOLENCE ON GAZA & INNOCENT CIVILIANS. Netanyahu & his govt can't be trusted. My heart and soul is totally broken after the 7th of October. I can never ever be the same again! It’s a mistake for DW to appear to search for some reason for the delayed response. It’s the same mistake that the New York Times and the New Yorker made when they published matter in which they spoke in terms of interviewing Hamas spokespeople apparently in an effort to try to discover the strategy behind their outright barbarity and inhumanity, as if the implication of a strategy behind human beings simply giving free vent to their beastly lust could somehow persuade people to turn away from the true face of their ideology? Does anyone take this type of journalism at face value anymore?
