I’m not concerned about whether Portugal will win the World Cup, but Cristiano Ronaldo is still breaking records and playing at the highest level. It seems impossible for someone to maintain that standard for so long. When you look at Argentina's team, they play as a cohesive unit, and they won the World Cup 2022 , credit was often given to one particular player. However, it’s not the same as how Maradona led his team to victory-he was on a completely different level.

Ronaldo is still a good winger who can break through the left and right sides of the pitch and provide accurate key passes. Theres no point using ronaldo to bring defenders with him to make space if they are not good enough to make it past their own opponents. Portugal needs to start using ronaldo to support the wingers more instead of midfield if they want to win the whole competition
