Bodom in my opinion has some amazing melodies Everytime I Die and Angels Don't Kill for example. But there are many bands other. Wintersun is seriously a god in writing melodic songs and thats a fact 😂👍🏻
You dont really appreciate how solid these songs are until you hear other people play them, fucking incredible ;D Id love to see another 10 riffs from the earlier albums, youve got me gagging for more haha!
Any song of the classic stuff ? Anything from Jester Race, Whoracle, Colony or Clayman ? I mean, Dead Eternety, Jester Script Transfigured, Colony, Pinball Map, all of this song have amazing, heavy and melodic riffs... But ok, the video is very good anyway
metalrr5 you just earned my subscription, don't keep me waiting too long plz! embody the invisible, bullet ride, clad in shadows... so much potential for a medley like this
People need to realize he said "Great" not "Better than the ones you like haha" seriously if you like different riffs go make a video of your own please we are all In Flames fans here
Really, nothing from Clayman? It's a great album for the newer audience to venture to their older catalog. Songs like Only for the Weak, Swim, and Pinball Map are classics.
***** I don't like those as much as the ones mentioned before, but, yeah, totally. Clayman is my favorite In Flames album with Jester Race and Whoracle not far behind.
i was planning on having the only for the weak solo in there but i couldn't find a tab with all the harmonies and i couldn't be bothered to figure it out myself :P thanks man
Just woke up from a night terror and I went to the you tube and this was my first thing I seen, makes a lot of sense! I fuckkin love all of yous guys!!!!!!!
you seriously a complete beast, playing guitar with such a skill! :) i wish i could be as good as you, you inspire me so much to try and play new things that are harder then i ever played and it just makes me better, keep up the good work, i love your videos! :)
With things like Battles and Siren charms happening it's good to hear things like this so you remember why you fell in love in the first place. Awesome medley. \m/
Great job, please do some more. These melodic riffs are why I have strong love for In Flames. Heed the call, some of the older stuff is great and melodic too.
I've been listening new music lately, (kinda alternative/indie mexican bands) didn't remember how much I like In Flames!! I'm missing some good old riffs too! Greetings bro!
I know you can't read this, but I hope it reach you in some way : you picked the best riffs among the in flames songs in my opinion, much better than the other recent in flames riffs video
i cant stop watching this... yo could you do a tutorial for crawl through knives?? the song order is perfect too. i wanna try to learn one of these on an acoustic and see how it sounds. have you tried playing any of these on an acoustic and if so, which one works the best?
+Jester Head i think the newer has always a shiner in every album up to the point when jesper left, i think in many ways he felt trapped in his own band and that he wanted to do melodic but heavy stuff just that in flames grew away from it. and he felt that he wanted to do something else that wasnt going to be as pressured and large as the newest in flames album something where he could let out that side of him.
I love this, sounds great! Most of the riffs flow together unbelievably well. I wanted to ask if you played these in a tuning higher than the originals? Sounds like it to me, but it's awesome! I know their last four albums have been drop A#, but this sounds higher than that to me anyway.
Damn that's good!!! And ASOP is my favorite In Flames album so I'm glad that you threw some of those in. Add Dead Eyes, Pinball Map and Everythings Gone and I'd swear we share the same headphones. KUTGW.🙉👍
I'm sorry but i knew in flames back in 1997 so that's why this is not the in flames i'm talking about ... But you are so much talented please continue. Good luck.
illiwillibilli thanks man, the newest album was terrible, but otherwise i've liked the new stuff. sounds of a playground fading was one of my favorites
+illiwillibilli I agree with you, this are 10 nice riffs by InFlames, with the greatest respect to this guy's taste (and by the way it's a very diverse sequence of riffs!), me as a old InFlamer I think that compared to Pinball map or Moonshield or Jotun or Morphing into primal (one of my favorite songs of all time of the genre) or Behind Space and many many more, this riffs are just nice but not as awesome as the old stuff in my opinion!
I would like to ask what is your tuning. I actually have the simillar jackson to use for in flames cover. It has floyd rose and I am having trouble for tuning stability. I installed 3 extra heavy tremolo springs but still having trouble for C tuning with them... Thinking to buy a baritone because of that...
Hello Mr metalrr5 ...I be been subscribed to you for about 3 years now...I can seriously say our tastes in music allign perfectly cos I happen to love and play u have covered till now..... :D .... I actually wanted to ask you a question n hope you would reply...I noticed that over the years the recording quality has improved significantly ...... I mean this song right here is almost studio quality .. How did u do that ...is it still pod to direct PC or new pickups or sth else.... And get new pickups man ...which ones are they...thank you!
Ayush Nakarmi thanks a lot man:) i still use my line 6 pod, i guess i just got better at mixing. pickups doesnt matter that much. and props to you for sticking around, i'll be posting more frequently now :) recently posted a new remix if u haven't seen it yet
The intro riff of the Crawl through knives is one of the best riffs I've ever heard.
+rembrandao fully agree, too bad its so short and only used once in the song
Cant forget my sweet shadow and dead eternity.
rembrandao honestly it sounds like a typical metalcore riff
L S D There probably wouldn’t be a typical metalcore riff without In Flames writing stuff like that
@@Xenot84 cant agree more with this, they've been writing 'typical metalcore riffs' since the 90s
R.I.P. Geir.... you really had a great talent.
For et talent han hadde, synd det ende slik.
He passed away?
@@CarlJohnson088 I think so, very sad, read the chanel discription
@@jenshagelstein7695 Oh my god, my heart just broke, I fucking hate suicide a lot😭.
I hope he rests in peace, I really do😞.
@@jenshagelstein7695 channel description. Nope try again
In Flames have the most amazing melodies out of any band I've heard, awesome video mate.
You have to listen Children of Bodom I think
They are 10/10
But there are others too
Ace Snakepit absolutely right, pal!!!
@@leopardonesco I just wanted to write the same bro!
Bodom in my opinion has some amazing melodies Everytime I Die and Angels Don't Kill for example. But there are many bands other. Wintersun is seriously a god in writing melodic songs and thats a fact 😂👍🏻
The Jesper Bjorn combo was absolutely incredible! They have some of metals best riffs and melodies in their arsenal.
Probably my favorite metal band of all time
Michael Strasser Mine too, I have the jester with In Flames tattooed on my arm.
wtf dude why didn't you play every riff from every in flames song ever?
"HOW DID YOU MISS [random song of one of the 90 albums] IN THIS VIDEO??"
congrats dude, In Flames just posted this video on their facebook :D
I know you prefer the new stuff, but come on, the riff in Episode 666 is incredible
Food for the Gods and The Hive ain't bad either ;)
not to mention Jotun
True legend. Forever in our hearts.❤️
cant stop listening this wonderful inflames medley. Great job!
You dont really appreciate how solid these songs are until you hear other people play them, fucking incredible ;D
Id love to see another 10 riffs from the earlier albums, youve got me gagging for more haha!
Rest in peace my friend. U were amazing
What an amazing guitarist, very unfortunate to see you go brother.
Hope you are doing alright wherever you are, much love and respect! \m/

I mean, Dead Eternety, Jester Script Transfigured, Colony, Pinball Map, all of this song have amazing, heavy and melodic riffs...

I've considered making a separate video older in flames riffs.. Maybe I should get on that now
metalrr5 you just earned my subscription, don't keep me waiting too long plz!
embody the invisible, bullet ride, clad in shadows... so much potential for a medley like this
This.
Thought I enjoy his choices, I have to admit Everything Counts is pretty insane. Wish he had included that one at least.
10 months later, still no older in flames riffs video :(
Great collection of riffs and played good too. I like being reminded of all of their riffs as they have written so many. Ty
I'm not surprised a lot of these songs were from A Sense of Purpose. That album was a riff masterpiece. Awesome video!
no cloud connected???
People need to realize he said "Great" not "Better than the ones you like haha" seriously if you like different riffs go make a video of your own please we are all In Flames fans here
💯
This band is one of the Kings of sick riffs thank you for sharing some of them.
Bullet Ride !!!
I was really expecting clay man, swim and only for the weak.
You might like the newer stuff but not to include things like December FLower, Only for the Weak, The HIve, Jotun or Colony is shameful =)
Artifacts of the Black Rain. The most iconic riff I can think of and pretty much the one that started it all for them and it's not on here.
I'm not even gonna watch this fucking video if thats the case.
Yep, sadly.
Aimtofflan you're a piece of shit
Surprisingly I covered Jotun :D though covered from their new album too The End! how about that LOL!!
i was planning on having the only for the weak solo in there but i couldn't find a tab with all the harmonies and i couldn't be bothered to figure it out myself :P thanks man
Until now I hade never even heard of ‘In Flames’ but I will check them out now. These riffs sound ace. Well done
every song sounds like a boss battle
Was hoping for something off of Clayman or Colony, but you still killed all of these riffs. Keep being bad ass. Cheers!
Dude, that was rad! Some of the best riffsters in the biz and you nailed all of those.
Just woke up from a night terror and I went to the you tube and this was my first thing I seen, makes a lot of sense! I fuckkin love all of yous guys!!!!!!!

Damn buddy that was killer, great selection of riffs and you made them flow together very nicely!!! Good stuff!!
Incredible video , i haven't seen like this , i loved it dude well done
My Sweet Shadow is my favorite IF song. Glad to see it first on the list.
With things like Battles and Siren charms happening it's good to hear things like this so you remember why you fell in love in the first place. Awesome medley. \m/
Great job, please do some more. These melodic riffs are why I have strong love for In Flames. Heed the call, some of the older stuff is great and melodic too.
I watched this video about 20-30 till now. Great job!!
Wow, this gave me some goosebumps. Nice work man :)
This is absolutely incredible! Would love to see more In Flames
This person needs ten times the amount of views they're getting.
I come here at least once a week.
That guitar tone is brutal.
Please share your signal chain!
I've been listening new music lately, (kinda alternative/indie mexican bands) didn't remember how much I like In Flames!! I'm missing some good old riffs too! Greetings bro!
Great jam! Listening to this almost everyday.
Where's all the older melodic riffs?
man you are a great guitarist, killer technique. i would like to see an as i lay dying riff medley. it'd be pretty sweet. keep up the good work man.
I gotta say...te guitar in the right hands is my favorite instrument...and it's in the right hands when I watch your videos :)
Perfect end. Soo heavy. In Flames is magic and the composition of their music is gold.
You're such a beast, i remember watching you're video's years ago i always loved ''Im blue'' haha!
Nicely done! would like to see ropes and reflect the storm!
Please! ten other great in flames riffs!!! love your guitar sound
I love the transition from Sound of a Playground Fading into Disconnected
Solid! Great picking technique and tone
Where is I'm the highway? That has a pretty good riff.
Awesome! Come Clarity always give me shiver.
The medley here is spectacular.
Awsome! 12 instead of 10? You can never have enough In Flames riffs
Good work man, keep going on.
this is incredibly awesome!
Fear is the Weakness's riff is freakin' awesooooooome
Crawl through knives gives me goosebumps....one of the reasons I decided to try to learn guitar....again
I know you can't read this, but I hope it reach you in some way : you picked the best riffs among the in flames songs in my opinion, much better than the other recent in flames riffs video
wow!!! great video.. my fav The Mirror Truth melody lines...
RIP... you did some beautiful stuff
Does anyone else think these blend together quite well and could be made into a song?
yeah
Man, the cut from Alias to Mirror's Truth was smooooooth as fuck; they sound pretty good together.
Yeeah, please more of these videos! I woder, if you could play whole songs? Is this possible here on YT? My song suggestion: "Only of the weak"
i have many covers of whole songs but none of in flames though
Fiery, this is the best performance in existence. Огонь, лучшее прочтение !!!
Damn dude!!! This is awesome!!!!!
Really the best of In Flames!
i cant stop watching this... yo could you do a tutorial for crawl through knives?? the song order is perfect too. i wanna try to learn one of these on an acoustic and see how it sounds. have you tried playing any of these on an acoustic and if so, which one works the best?
Do 10 of the riffs from Clayman and earlier unless you actually hate their old material that much :(
Yea, Clayman has some amazing riffs, my favourite album from In Flames overall!
mine too. But Song's from Jester race or whoracle are masterpices too
Only the riff of the song colony destroy every new In Flames riffs

Lovely vid dude. I'm trying to figure out some in flames. Can you tell me what tunning you're in???
Wow! I have a reason to listen to them again, thnx!
acoustic medly, gyroscope, zombie inc, colony, december flower, astronaughts and aliens, there are so mny amazing riffs missed here
Love your choices!

Good luck.
ropes intro riff one of the best
In Flames in Drop C sounds awesome :D
Could you please share your recording setup? Amazing playing and tone!
thats what a call "THIS MAN REALLY KNOWS HOW TO PLAY IN FLAMES"
Cool video, good job.
I'd say I prefer the older stuff though. I find some newer songs to have pretty boring riffs and without any defined melodies.
illiwillibilli thanks man, the newest album was terrible, but otherwise i've liked the new stuff. sounds of a playground fading was one of my favorites

YEA you've got great talents :) continue on and on and on for the pleasure of our ears and mind :) I SUB !!!!!
Do top 10 All That Remains riffs! Just subbed :D
Your cover of fear is the weakness is way better than the original, his voice really drowns out that amazing riff
Awesome....timing...handling ...ear....great musician
Amazing man! you make my head bang
Awesome video dude!
Like seriously, play more stuff from In Flames, this is just great!
Love these! Going to try them all
Dude, no zombie inc?
I would like to see 10 great riffs of pwd!!!
What cauge strings did you use? And how did you record this the quality is pretty good
Great video. What is the guitar tuned to?
really well played!
Shit, I was only listening to their old stuff, now I gotta give their “newer” stuff a spin too! Thanks for the video
