I think mental health patients should be suggested to acupuncture.

needles won't help your mental health, you're gonna need a doctor or therapist if you have problems. but whatever relaxes you I suppose.
but to pass this off as legitimate medical treatment for anxiety is wrong, you're just taking someone's money and telling them what they want to hear. pretty fucked up

I actually had acupuncture save my life numerous times. I react horribly to any antidepressants or anything that's not natural really.
I had been depressed for 8 months straight. I had attempted twice ( I had a reaction to a form of birth control that brought out my depression out of nowhere and made me crazy)
I was told by my doctors and psychiatrists that there was nothing I could do, and I'd have to wait it out.
I did some research and made some calls and was able to go in and they agreed to reduce the price.
After 45 minutes of being there I broke down and bawled ( sometimes acupuncture releases strong emotions)
After that 45 minutes I had relief. Life was bright again. There was real colour and I felt calm and at peace. It may not work for everyone, but it saved my life.
