Hello, could you recommend some trails on Madeira that don't have a lot of elevation, and also there are some places along to pitch a tent? :D I would like to spend like 3 days just walking with a tent.
Hi, without too much elevation I would look for Levada trails. Like I made last year the Levada do Norte: th-cam.com/video/qahj1XMfJMk/w-d-xo.html& which did not have much elevation. This year I planned to make a different Levada but did not have time sadly. But you can check the route here: www.alltrails.com/explore/map/karte-28-januar-2023-a78e17c?u=m&sh=z3k1rf I planned to make it in 3 to max 4 days but you can shorten it a bit (especially if you don't start in Porto Moniz but directly at the Levada). I checked satellite pictures a bit and next to the Levadas should be some narrow space to make camp (depending on the size of course). Lastly, there is every year the MIUT trail running event from the West to the South. I took their route as inspiration to make a more wild and more interesting version of it. I hiked it 2 years ago starting in Machico (in the East). The trail is more than 3 days but you can search for sections that interest you. Each track represents a day, I checked to have some spots to camp which worked pretty well, here is the all trails: www.alltrails.com/de/explore/map/mon-05-apr-2021-10-53-3d863b3?u=m&sh=z3k1rf
@@UntraveledRoadsOfficial Thank you very much! I have noted everything and added to my maping app! But in the end, I will use it later (autumn, this year? :D)... because just bought the super cheap ticket to Fuerteventura for tomorrow... :D I think, I will spend there few days and probably take a ferry to Gran Canaria. And from what I can see, you do have some nice videos also from GC and FW :D. You are amazing, thank you for all your work on YT! I'm going to watch it now, but especially in the case of Fuerteventura with doesn't seam to be that attractive, have you found there some nice, beautiful places to sleep in the tent, or just in general what one should see besides the obvious locations like Coralejo Dunes, Cofete Beach? How are the buses there? It is ok to use them to move around the island, or not so much?
@@uk574 Perfect, glad it helped. Nice enjoy Fuerteventura, I only did 1 hike there because as I was there I got sick. But there are few nice places (it is not so popular for hiking but actually it is a paradise). I made this one here: th-cam.com/video/Rs7SrKOO2bQ/w-d-xo.html walking a straight line through the island. I hade a really amazing night over there in the camp (was one of my top nights actually). The buses were pretty good so no problem to get anywhere on the island. I did not manage to go to Gran Canaria but I think it must be very nice. From what I was reading it is more diverse then Tenerife
