    I keep watching this video. I can't believe how healthy his fish look. This person is one of the best fish keepers in the u.s. that I've seen. I would love more videos with this person, hopefully to give us some pointers on some of his fish keeping techniques.

    The Geophagus Winemilleri were definitely my favorites in this fish room. I agree, Geophagus definitely take patience but they are worth it in the end. I also agree with you that the Pelvicachromis Kribensis were a shining start in this fish room. I am partial to South American fish but these were stunning. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!

    The pike cichlid are so beautiful.. they look so perfect that they look almost Angel soft. I know that probably sounds strange,but that was the first thing that went through my mind😂 everything he has is healthy and beautiful and so cool how he set up his Fish room in a small space! Awesome video!

      They are so cool, but also pretty aggressive. I did a fish store tour at Aquatics Unlimited last summer and they had a red one that was truly awesome!

    Interesting to see a group of tretocephalus. That may be the best way to keep them. I had 3 in with some Brichardi. Two bonded well and the third was picked on and lost all color. I moved the third into another tank and the color has returned. Unfortunately number two tretocephalus started getting picked on more and then started swimming really funny and died. Great tour! Thanks for inviting us along!

      Thanks for watching. I have three growing out right now in a 10 gallon. I actually think I am going to put them in with my mbuna. They're a little too aggressive for most of the tangs I'm keeping right now.

    What are your thoughts on clown loaches in a cichlid tank? Iv seen some TH-cam Chanel’s do it.

    • @PrimeTimeAquatics
      @PrimeTimeAquatics  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kristen Kearby I have done it with mildly aggressive cichlids like severums and Geophagus without any issues.

    • @Geneticlyinsane1
      @Geneticlyinsane1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ive put them with nearly everything imaginable with next to no issues they have a built in switch blade on the top of them so most larger fish know to stay away , just makes sure you have a small group of them as they are really sociable with each other

    Great vid and fish room tour. My ever on-going "project fish room" is even smaller and not nearly as nice. Can't wait for October, the first GCCA fish swap. Maybe I'll run in to you there, LR Bretz is almost always there (nice dude). Do you know if Mario's tanks drilled for the auto-water change? Thank you Jason.

    Great video. My favorites will always be most Geophagus, especially Winemilleri or Sveni. Are the fish you were unsure of a type of Cryptoheros? I found out about them (Sajica and Nanoluteus) from one of your vids and now I cant wait to set up a Cryptoheros tank lol.

    I inherited a bunch of Mbuna and peacocks and some are ob peacocks fry. I wasn’t totally ready for cichlid yet. A girl was in panic and had to get rid of them the pet store only took the older ones. I was going to start buying at the fish swap in Chicago in October. I have about 50-60 fry. I can for sure tell I have male and female electric yellow mbunas. I’m glad I got two 55 got a good deal on the tank.
