- Is Venezuela safe in 2024? I asked ordinary people in Caracas. They say - yes, as long as you use common sense and take precautions. And they want tourists to come. Venezuela still has areas to avoid, and the situation can change. But for now, Venezuela is safe to visit, according to many of its own citizens.
Since I have been making videos about Venezuela, I have received messages from people telling me I am ignorant, naive and supporting the government. They say Venezuela should be avoided by all visitors. Are they right? I asked people in two areas in Caracas - La Candelaria and Plaza Franco in Altamira.
They say the opposite. Venezuela is safe, mostly in the main cities, although some areas are still considered dangerous. They say tourists are not supporting any government, but helping ordinary people. And they want more tourists to come to help improve the economy.

❤ Longterm US expat entrepreneur/author based in Caracas, who stumbled across your video on YT checking in: Venezuela has its rough edges due to tourism infrastructure weaknesses and other issues, but it's an almost perfect place for the adventurer seeking an authentic meaninful experience not available on the traditional canned tourism trail...I put my money where my mouth is on the country's recent improvements as my enterprise is relaunching our exclusive & offbeat destination adventure escapes for successful men from abroad, after a 6 year hiatus!
Note: I noticed that you conducted your interviews in Plaza La Candelaria...We were there two evenings ago evaluating some new places for inclusion in our current urban adventure routes...
Hace dos generaciones Venezuela era el país más rico de América del Sur.
Me as a venezuelan living in venezuela I say... right now I am sure to say yes, you can visit venezuela, its a safe place. It's going to sound cliché, but yes, the majority of bad boys (thugs, gang members and hitman) have emigrated. They are still a few but they dont mess with turist because it would be bad for the goverment of Maduro, that are dealing with bad reputation and sanctions. If you want to visit my country come with some (not much) dollars bills because in some place the VISA/MASTERCARD cards would not work, and wester union is off right now.
Edit: Also expect that in some parts of the country the electricity power will go out and there will be a bad mobile internet signal in some places
Venezuela, love it

I would love to visit venezuela but its quite hard to do as an american since we no longer have diplomatic ties with them. I would have to go to mexico city just to try and obtain a venezuelan visa
I beleive you can get a visa in Cucuta Colombia too
Hey Joel .How'dy mate ?
Hello from Malaysia
I want to go there, has anything happened to you during your stay so far?
you can go bro, its safe right now, the thugs and gang member are traveling the darien jungle right as we speak right now lol, sounds like a joke but it isn't. You just go with some dollars bills and stay away from the slung and you will be fine. If you want more safety, you can reserve the trip with traveler agencies like "soco adventures", you can look in google. The price are high as fuck but well...
Would logically seem that the porous southern US border has made places like Venezuela noticeably safer
Es seguro 🙄

For the sake of all that is dear to you, why do you presume that in a dictatorship people will tell you what they really think, especially so, if you show their faces? Try to get someone to criticise authorities in China and agree to show their face! Why do you think in Venezuela it will be any different?
Well, maybe because it's not as bad as you think?
