    Saw Hellripper last month in Hungary alongside Toxic Holocaust and Abbath, it was a killer show! Also, mad respect for James, he is such a chill guy

    I don't get why so many people in the black metal scene hate bands like deafhaven. It seems a bit narrow minded. I think they make great art even if its not black metal at all.

      I do like Deafheaven myself actually. I think a large reason bands like them get hate is because they are more accessible and have sort of "broke out" of the black metal "scene" and could be considered more mainstream. Like I mention in the podcast, I think bands that acheive this are good for the scene overall and expose more people to metal. The more people that discover metal the better in my opinion!

      @@Hellripper yeah thats probably the reason. Its good when new people discover metal trough them but also i wouldn't like it if everyone would listen to metal. Cause it is art which was always for more rebellious and free thinking people.
