I agree with the other comments saying to ditch the music. The lack of music in your other videos makes it feel more raw and more real. It also differentiates you from Flotrack's workout wednesday videos.

awesome shots! i like the thought of music during the cool shots / b-roll and no music for the talking/interviewing and workout/running portions

Great to see Richard on the channel. I really enjoyed watching him win the European Championships in the summer and his recent Sweat Elite podcast too. I hope we'll see more of him throughout his build up.

I know you didn't ask, but I liked the old production values waaaay more. I will continue to watch regardless, probably, because this is still the best content.

Nice one! Richard is a very humble guy and having met him several times personally, he’s also a great competitor and sportsman. I also find is approach to marathon training and training generally to be very interesting.
It’s pretty wild that he runs this workout „out of shape“ with such low lactate measurements!
I’m guessing he can go 2:07 or 2:06 for his Hamburg marathon if everything goes right 🔥🙏🏻

Brilliant 👏 he seems like a great guy! What a workout too considering he’s “not in shape” yet 😮

First 1km in an "easy" 3:07 pace ... I felt that deep in my very slow bones 😅🥲

3:07 is slower than his marathon pace so it is extremely easy for him, crazy isnt it.

I'm obviously not the runner Richard is. I did this session yesterday. 10x1km ( 400m 4.30 float ). Started at 3.40's for the first 5 and then brought it down to a 3.13 for the last one.
Great session and really makes you work around the 8th rep. I wish I could run 2.50-3 min pace. I'm just too old. HAHA.. Also, as others have said Angus, I'm not really a big fan of the tunes, but I also do appreciate you guys trying different things.

great drone shot. For me a I find it relatable when hearing the sound of shoe thumping, makes me feel like I am there. If there was music/tune my preference would be a bit lower in volume.

Great content, love Richard's approach and personality. It's not always about running, we need to rest our legs and do other cross trainings. I will incorporate 10X1km for my training.

I think it's a good idea to experiment, but personally I do think the lack of music makes S.E. videos more appealing with the rawness as you feel as though you're there involved in the session as most can relate to the grind. Music also is personal in taste, so some may love it and some may hate it depending on the music chosen....so could risk alienating half your audience, just a thought ....feedback wise....
Good luck to Richard smashing out a 2:08, hope he achieves the Olympic qualifying time which is really tough and will surely exclude many smaller nations from even competing.

I don’t care what people say I liked the edition of music it is fitting to Ringer a very humble man. Aswell the music wasn’t to load.
Maybe it is just me because I train alot but when I’m chilling and watching athletics I do not want to only hear the steps breath haha which I am so used to myself

  • @brianway4240
    @brianway4240 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Clockwise running on tracks certainly seems to be taboo at Sweat Elite. There is a very small amount of warm-up, cool-down, recovery intervals, etc, but no timed running. This is definitely not TH-cam policy. I could link a bunch of videos with clockwise laps. It must be Sweat Elite.

I think the music isnt too terrible, I would reccomend halving the volume of the music, or fade in/out during transitions and drone shots. Either way, amazing content. I wish I would run ''easy 3 min km repeats" 🥲
