The absolute best thing about Rammstein is they sound like when they record their albums, they keep true to the beats rhythm and vocals. And one hell of a live performance.

Moez Dbira -- Abso-fucking-lutely. Jon Anderson did something similar on the ABWH album except using lyrics. And it wasn't so much of the song, just enough to give you a little feeling nostalgia,
But Till is pretty fucking amazing sometimes.
Reise Reise is still one of my Rammstein favourites.
The first song 'Ramm 4' is their concert starting song, which they started using on that tour Mike. That is why there was a countdown, fireworks and that dramatic entrance on the lights by Paul and Richard. The songs lyrics are also made up from a bunch of their other song titles.
Listen to it a couple of times and you'll get Ja - Nein - Rammstein! (Yes - No - Rammstein!) stuck in your head along with that beat.
The Ja - Nein -Rammstein! part represents the public reaction when Rammstein comes back with a new album or comes to town with a concert..
you could call it mostly a medley out of their songs.
Rammstein is one of the most consistently heavy bands of All Time. Lyrics,musically,visually.
You miss so much when you don't speak German. Show and music alone are great. But the lyrics are often deeply touching poems. Not like many other bands just nonsense.
Well, "Ramm4" is quite nonsensical, to be honest xD
But I agree, Lindemann's lyrics really are what make the band for me. The wordplay, the beautiful, old German, the powerful delivery for the often disturbing subjects... His poetry books are also quite fun and I can only encourage every German speaker with an interest in such things to read them.
Don Jonson -- I made the mistake of looking up the lyrics for Ich Tu Dir Weh and was, shall we say, surprised. It was so beautiful that I expected the lyrics to be, too. But they are a band of contrasts, the darkness of the lyrics vs the beauty of the vocal.
They do not get enough credit for the depth of some of the things they do...

I absolutely love your reactions, especially when you're doing Rammstein (and yes, your pronounciation of german words improved a *lot* since you started doing those). Your video intros are very long, and I love the way you're doing it. Usually I skip intros that are longer than 5 seconds, because they're boring. I'm not skipping yours, they're very entertaining.

The song Ramm4 exists only as live version.
They still plan to release it on a album sometime in the future. But it has to fit. They don't want to release it as a B-side song or so.
no there is a studio version too but not released yet (they used a short snippet for the Teaser of the Stadium Tour in 2019)

Richard met Till in 1987. Flake and Paul have known each other even longer. To make it more interesting, Oli lived with Schneider in one flat before Rammstein. They stole food together in hard GDR times. Great success achieved by old friends adds more awesomeness to whole Rammstein career ;)

6:05 "Auferstanden aus Ruinen" = "Risen from Ruins"....The song Risen from Ruins was the national anthem in the German Democratic Republic. RAMMSTEIN come from the east of Germany. :-)

i am from Bavaria (it is in Germany) and i like your videos about Rammstein
"Reise, reise" is actually not "standard german" but an expression in so called "Platten Deutsch" or "flat German", a local dialect in northern Germany (today almost extinct) that was so different from "Standard German" that it could be described as a related, but still different, language. "Resie, reise" means "stand up, stand up", and was the way officers on war ships woke up the soldiers in the morning. In fact, the central and south part of Germany had little to none tradition of the sea, due to the geographical conditions. People in the Kriegsmarine (War marine) and the fishing fleet often spoke Platten Deutsch, danish or the friesian language. Quite many of the german naval officers in WWII had danish surnames. And many Rammstein songs is about water and/or the sea. It could be explained by the fact that Till Lindemann write all the song texts, and in his youth was a rather successful swimmer in the DDR (German Democratic Republic), and he was planned to be sent to the Olympic Games in Moscow 1980, but an illness stopped him. Lindemann seemes to be almost obsessed with water. Me myself I can´t even swim.
