As someone who lives in Australia, I just find it so funny that she went to Coles to review the most generic chocolate chip cookies and hot cross buns you can get. She isn’t wrong that they’re good though 😂
Oh yeah, the chocolate hot Cross buns in the air fryer with butter on it cut in half and then butter on at the end is one of the best things that you ever have for breakfast in Australian but also The get it at Bakers Delight. It’s got like custard in it or maybe sultana icingand butter😂❤
Bit of advice for you as someone from the UK. Next time you eat a hot Cross bun, slice it in half, toast it for a couple of minutes, then put some salted butter on. It melts into the bun, it's beyond delicious. This is how we would traditionally eat a hot cross bun. I've not seen the chocolate ones yet, I'm going to have to go and find some!! Love your videos. ❤
The chocolate one have become more common here in South Africa but my dad found a new kind at Woolworths they are the only place that sells them they are the spiced hot cross buns the dough has cinnamon, nutmeg and other aromatics and there are candied orange peel chunks mixed in instead of raisin they taste amazing however you are 100% correct you have to toast your buns and butter with real salted butter

TIP: if you ever try them again, I would recommend you cut the hot cross buns in half and TOAST them and then spread some butter over them and eat them while they're still warm, thats the BEST way to have them! I honestly wouldn't even eat it they way you did lmao but I LOVE them toasted

I was weirded out to learn from my family who moved to America many years ago that you don't get savoury pies there like what the heck In South Africa meat pies sausage rolls and samosas are a staple of any decent bakery section sweet pies are usually tucked in with other pastries if they even have them

I think American bakeries tend to focus more on sweet confecfioneries like frosted cupcakes and sweet cookies. Maybe France also only does sweet pastries too.

More are more I'm seeing cheese flavours now though there's cheese burger that's got a patty and cheese in it and sometimes there's cheese and onions they are both great when you can find them

It would mean the world to me if you tried milo. It’s a chocolate drink powder, you can find it in Woolies or coles. You mix a couple tablespoons with milk and we usually like to leave a little layer of the powder still sitting on top of the milk, so it’s in every sip. Milo is the best Aussie (and I believe in South Asia!)
They changed the recipe of Milo in South Africa a few years back it's now mostly malt barely a chocolate flavour you have to add so much to milk to get the chocolate hit you want we do however sprinkle the dry granules on Ouma pancakes (basically crepes) then you roll it up into a tube and eat it it's crunchy and delicious you can get that combo and pancake stands everywhere now

She works as a singer on a cruise ship, from experience as a singer, I can say you definitely burn a lot of calories if you're dancing as well.
