Is Fake Lego Better Than Real Lego?

I'm actually planning to make an army of fake LEGO clone troopers. Just hear me out: I'm buying knockoff clones and replacing the derpy-looking helmets with either official ones or CAC ones.
The main reason I want to do this is because
A. They're a lot cheaper than LEGO clones
B. The plastic material used for the minifigures doesn't crack somehow

Yea. I like getting custom helmets for my clone army, including tups helmet which is a 501st trooper
