    The Salvation Army officer who composed this would never have dreamt in his wildest dreams that he and the organisation he served would one day be honoured in this way…..of coarse back in the day the Salvation Army music was not open for use by non Salvationists, a great shame, good to see things have changed

    Here are the words of the chorus which is contained within the March. "Thou art a mighty Saviour, Thy love doth never waver, Thou shalt be mine forever, And Thine alone I'll be."

    The Red Shield is a great march, especially the trio.

    This is originally a Salvation Army march, here rearranged for military band.

    I wouldn't say rearranged ... it's in its complete original form.

      I think what our friend means it was arranged to include woodwind.

      Transcribed would be a more accurate description

      Arranged is the right word, not transcribed!
