In this video, Karen shows how to use a two part casting resin and molds to create unique hair barrettes. She adds color using Mica Powder and finishes the barrette with a silk screen pattern, sealed with UV resin.

Five minute resin cements the clip very well, with less over flow of 2 part.

    1) Wipe the excess paint off to dispose before washing all that paint down the drain. 2) resin flows where resin has been, it may not level into edges. Use a microbrush or silicon tool to go around the edges. Bubbles love to hide and stick there. 3) I would ditch the flat palette knife to stir resin. Going back and forth like you did between containers only introduces bubbles. There are many silicone tools to get those sides and edges much better than a palette knife.

Helpful video. Do you have to clean the silkscreen after every application even if you are doing the same design and color on another piece?

Hello, you only need to clean the silk screen in between colors, or once you are done with it for a period of time before its next use. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
