You can always have a contractor build out a box surround for your fridge and paint it the same color as your cabinets. I think painting the piece behind the door dark might actually be a good solution. Can’t wait for back splash!! Everything is coming together beautifully 🤎
20:45 why don’t you wallpaper the wall and behind the glass in the door? I never seen it done, the idea just come 😅 But that way when the door it’s closed that hole situation disappers, it will look basically the same as when it’s open, with the wallpaper behind.
Agreed! Wallpaper would look so good there!! The fridge looks fine, if anything, you could put some of the wallpaper in the side of the fridge to match it up😂
omgg I agreed with this, first I thought to just cover the glass door with some contact paper like others do to cover their window to make it even, BUTTT I like your idea better bcs with the right curtain it would be really cute🩷
I sold new construction for 25 years. I would paint the glass on the backside of the door. It will still show the ribbing on the glass but it won’t look choppy - half hole/half frilly curtain won’t look cohesive. It will look like you are trying to cover a mistake. Pick a color from whatever wall paper you choose and make the door a feature of the wall. Or, choose an etching paint to “frost” the glass on the back to make it more opaque so you don’t see the wall/black hole. Either would work beautifully. I love the idea of a brass slide unit and knob. Great choice. As for your refrigerator- I would build a box for it and paint it the same color of your cabinets. Then, put the floating shelves above the box. It will end the cabinet run in a more intentional manner. It’s an easy fix. You have a lovely home. I enjoy your energy!❤
Definitely wallpaper the staircase wall. Then also wallpaper the glass in the door to get rid of the ‘black hole and white bulkhead’. Or put white contact paper on the glass (backside) to make it all look white 🥰
I was thinking something similar! Wallpapering just the small piece that shows behind the door the same as the wall, so you can still see that ribbed texture. Or go in with a frosted paint (like you see on bathroom windows sometimes) on the back of the door, to keep that texture as well! I think the lighter green floral wallpaper you showed in the examples would look great!
Thanks 🥰 I would go with a coloured wallpaper. Not too bright (is not the vibe of the house), not too many crazy colours on it. Maybe a little muted colouring in a vintage print 👍 I also like the green one you showed in the video :)
I think you should add some suncather stickers on your windows and glass in the door. If you want but I think it would look cute on days where the sun is up and all curtains are opened. Please see this .@@HaleysCornerr
Yes to wall paper for sure! For the fridge, maybe building it a nice built in wooden home so you can paint it and utilize the whole side of your fridge as shelving. I've been seeing it a lot on Pinterest for cookbooks, cutting boards etc. Lining the inside of the door or maybe even seeing about frosting the glass a bit more could help 😊 Amazing as always!!
Line the back of the glass door, definitely add wallpaper ❤ Wait on the fridge, another idea if you know a good carpenter, you could give the fridge a vintage built in look with shelves above 😊
Do a fabric on the back of the door in the window! It’ll make it one flat color and you can still see the ribbed detail. If you bunch it it’ll look really pretty and you can choose any color fabric.
i think cover the fridge and paint it the cabinet colour, i personally love the customized fridges. And yes wallpaper, would be beautiful and add so much character being in the middle of the house
They have the glass covering that makes glass look more frosty. Maybe adding a lil more of a frost to the glass it’ll be less see through. But I love how it’s looking! And deff wallpaper the wall! Vintage charm!❤
For the door, you could use a film that they use in bathrooms to make it less see thru. Just use it on the inside of the door. & yes to wallpaper on the wall and inside the under the stairs area. That green wallpaper inspo you showed was gorgeous. Vintage charm✨
for the bulk head on the door… might be interesting but you could do a dark solid wallpaper over the bulk square showing, and wallpaper the rest! or you could add a curtain/darker double sided paper (or paint) to the back glass, to keep the groove detail too!
Thank you Dr. Fung. Your Clarity in this crazy diet world has help me so much to weed through all the crap! Been fasting since 2020 and has been amazing for me.
Definitely a yes to a vintage style wallpaper on the wall! I would love to see some more color like a light green in your space. Paired with the wood door, it would look beautiful in my opinion! And add a frosted vinyl to the back of the glass door!
VINTAGE CHARM. Try whitewashing the glass on the vintage door. Get a one-sided know set for the door or a vintage pull for the vintage door. Paint the sides of the refrigerator the same as the cabinets.
Hi , add your contact paper to the back of the door window. Also for your fridge, i would make a wooden box around it. You could paint it any color you want.
Wallpaper the wall and then wallpaper the inside of your door with the same wallpaper, so it's visible through the glass. It will look seamless and beautiful 💖
Vintage charm! Love how the door turned out! I think that wall would look so cute with wallpaper on it, maybe make the frosted glass more opaque so you can still see through it a little but you can really make out the ridges of the glass. Whatever you do I’m sure it’ll look gorgeous!
@@HaleysCornerr you can definitely find frosted window film online! Theoretically adding more frosted film should make the already frosted glass be more opaque!
Definitely wallpaper that center area behind the stairs & that will help with the glass door revealing the white behind it, & wait to change the fridge til the backsplash is in place so you can move forward from there when the backsplash color is right by the fridge. The house is looking gorgeous! The amount of dedication you have to give that door your vintage charm is insane
I think you should wallpaper the arch wall & post! Since it’s visible from almost the entirety of the downstairs, it’d be an easy way to add interest to all areas. And then do a vintage frame collage on the wall with the door.
No to the contact paper on the fridge. I love the idea of wall papering the center of your house! A caffe curtain on the inside of the glass door to cover up the upper part would be so cute!
Yes to wallpaper! It will add so much character. I believe there’s a spray that you can get to put on glass to give it a frosted look, so it gives you more privacy.
Vintage charm ❤ love door Color looks beautiful 👏🏻👏🏻 I think you should put wall paper it will definitely make it cozy 😉 And staining the bar chairs will blend all the colors together it will look beautiful 💖
wallpaper for wall, no on the fridge. You could frost the glass on the door and paint the upper portion black so it is at least a solid color behind! Love it!!
We just remodeled our kitchen and one of my must haves was a pot filler, we did the demolition ourselves and my husband did the plumbing for it, he added a second waterline with its own valve close to where the fridge waterline is, tested it for any leaks and we were good to go, love my pot filler!
Yes on the wallpaper it will bring so much character to your home. I would try wallpapering the fridge. Why not, you can always take it off if it doesn’t look good.
Yes for wallpaper on the wall! Love the door, I think it just needs a lining behind the glass, either dark or white? For the fridge, maybe you can fake the built-in by making a box on the sides and above (leave the front as is) and the wood can have the same finish as your panelling on the cabinet doors and the same colour :) with the add ons of the shelves above and the backsplash it will be gorge!
The sliding door idea was amazing. The fridge side is fine as is imo. The more spacious fridge was definitely a good call. Wallpaper on just that accent wall would be so so cute. I like the focal point being made to stand out even more. It can be really nice. You could paint a fake window on the bulk head situation.
We have a cute floral curtain on the back of our dresser doors and it looks amazing. I sewed a channel at the top and bottom. Gathered it by putting next curtain wire through it and secured top and bottom. It’s looks adorable 😊
You could choose a pretty dark wallpaper/paint to put on the bulkhead, then adding a little vintage lacy curtain to the back of the glass - I think that would create the darker and more “seamless” look you want while adding some vintage charm! 😊 also yes to wallpapering the wall and I think adding a box around the fridge would make it look waayyyy more intentional in the kitchen. Either way love seeing the progress!!
Vintage charm! 🥰 The door is beautiful! What a treasure 🩷 you did such a good job refinishing it! 👍💫 I feel like the wallpaper will look perfect 🥰 you could even tape wallpaper you the back of the glass for a seamless look if the top square is still bugging you! I love the contact paper too! I would pick a white that matches the front of the door so it looks seamless! 👌 Great job! ☕️🍋🩷🌞 And congrats on living your best life and slaying that food prep! Your bowl looks amazing.
I think the most seamless thing for the door would be something for the whole thing and not doing something to just the wall part. I saw someone suggest a frilly curtain inside the door which is so cute, or you could paint the glass to fog it more!m, which I love that idea ❤
Yes, a very subtle paper that doesn’t distract the eye. I was thinking that even before you talked about the door idea. As far as the fridge how about a piece of wood stained to match shelves
For behind the glass door, I think what ever you decide on the wall to also do it on the back of the stairs so it travels through but has a difference with the glass 🎉🎉🎉
Love the vintage charm! 😍🥰 I think you can spray the back of the glass with a frosted glass spray paint, or use a frosted glass contact paper only on the backside of the glass. Love the door! 😁🤩
For the vintage door, you can maybe glue a piece of stained wood edging to divide the bulkhead portion from the open bottom on the door itself, so it looks more intentional or not part of it. Another idea is to add a short cafe curtain inside and on top of the bulkhead, or hung on the outside of the door
Vintage Charm! Love the door & adding wallpaper would make that focal point stand out even more. I think hold off on the contact paper for the fridge. But everything is coming together beautifully!!❣
The wallpaper in that central area would be beautiful! Love the inspiration you have for it, a subtle pattern, with vintage art, some sconces on the other side that faces the kitchen, yes! For the door, try what you did with the fridge. Place a dark paper or something in that square area behind the door and get a feel on how it would look. I think that with the glass texture it could work, more than placing a curtain over such a beautiful door. About the fridge, I will wait until the backsplash is installed, maybe you could consider adding black accents to the kitchen.
There is a frost decal for window and doors that would look good on door, yes to wall paper on the wall and the fridge you could get the surroound that goes with your cabinets or just leave it,it looks fine.
Vintage charm! Yes on the wallpaper, hold off for the fridge, when most of the work around the house is done we can reconsider ! And ofc you have to eat while the food is hot! By the time I’m done eating, my husband will have already started cleaning up after me though haha 🤭🤭
Paint the bulkhead a medium taupey Grey to match the shadow of the under stair area. Then line the back of the glass with a frosted womdow filmif it's flat or maybe spray paint lass frosting if it's not. And definitely wallpaper ❤
Vintage charm. Yes to wallpaper, yes to fridge contact paper also, but don't paint until after the backsplash stuff is done. Do paint the above wall black, and add a lightly frosted film on the back of the glass door to help it be less transparent.
I say wait on the fridge until you have the backsplash and cabinets you want done! And yesssss to the wallpaper! Also I don’t think the door will look bad once you wallpaper.
i love the idea of a ditsy floral wallpaper on the wall and the arch :) you could also stick a stained glass film on the door glass so it's less see through!
For the wall - If a wallpaper is intimidating and skeptical idea, the best option would be Wall Panelling. You will still be adding some character without the wall clashing or standing out odd against the other parts of the house! Best Wishes 💕
You can order privacy film to stick to the back side of the door to frost the glass even more. They even have patterned privacy film which can distract from whats going on behind the door and still give you texture like you liked in the ribbed glass.
Vintage charm❤️❤️❤️❣️ok so I was a Decorator & Designer for about 20 yrs in a large city. So my opinion is a nice “someone darker” wallpaper & then the top white won’t be as noticeable & ohh so beautiful on that wall. That’s what I suggest😉💝❣️give that now amazing door an accent to be against😉❤️❤️❣️
I think you should put the door somewhere else in your home since you are loving it so much, and do a floor to ceiling true barn door. Then have the wallpaper as well. I think it would fit the space a bit more! But love the stain of the diy project!!
Wallpaper for the wall! And maybe use the same matching wallpaper for the fridge? ☺️ and maybe add like a little short vintage window fringe to the top of the door to cover the top?
Hey! Maybe try a peal-and-stick milky contact paper from the back side of the glass. I’ve . seen people use it on windows for more privacy. As to covering the side of the fridge, I say you should wait. Sending so much love from Israel🩵 Your videos bring me relief and I love hearing you guys speak Hebrew🥰
Love ya ❤ I’d leave the fridge as it is The wallpaper will be cute!!! With the bulkhead I’d paint dark to disguise or if you wallpaper hang something there
Yeah wallpaper on that wall would be beautiful and honestly I think once you get the wallpaper up and the hardware to hang the door that’s were your eyes will go.. the door will just blend in but your eye will go to the wallpaper 😁
Yay more vintage home flips make my heart so happy 💗 but boy do I need a lot of advice from you guys in this vlog 😅 keep the comments coming!! 🩷🩷
You can add a cute little ruffled curtain that is short to block the white part
You can always have a contractor build out a box surround for your fridge and paint it the same color as your cabinets.
I think painting the piece behind the door dark might actually be a good solution.
Can’t wait for back splash!! Everything is coming together beautifully 🤎

Yes!!!!
Yes wallpaper and no for the fridge. Can you put wallpaper or a decal behind the glass so it won't show the opening?
maybe try putting a cute little frilly curtain on the glass door to cover just the top part. It would look super cute and vintage
Yes this I wish we could post pics in the comments on yt
Came to the comments just to suggest this too. A little cafe curtain valance sort of thing
Wait I’m OBSESSED with this idea !!!!

Yes to wallpaper! the wallpaper and vintage door will be such a stunning statement wall
i think cover the fridge and paint it the cabinet colour, i personally love the customized fridges. And yes wallpaper, would be beautiful and add so much character being in the middle of the house
Wooo so glad you’re on board!!
Leave it black and add come cute magnets and family photos 🥰
Also love the vintage wallpaper idea! 💖
Yes such a cute way to cover it! ❤
15:09 Leave it as it is, I don't think it will improve the appearance
Yes, leave the fridge alone! 😂
They have the glass covering that makes glass look more frosty. Maybe adding a lil more of a frost to the glass it’ll be less see through. But I love how it’s looking! And deff wallpaper the wall! Vintage charm!❤
That style is everything.

Definitely yes for the wallpaper! It will give that “vintage charm”😊
Yes to the wallpaper idea!!!
Wait til you tile first!!!! Yes a wallpaper with texture would give that a lovely pop! Vintage Charm🥰
for the bulk head on the door… might be interesting but you could do a dark solid wallpaper over the bulk square showing, and wallpaper the rest! or you could add a curtain/darker double sided paper (or paint) to the back glass, to keep the groove detail too!

Ooo that’s a reallllly good idea! Any idea on how I can make it more opaque?
I THINK you can buy like a frost adhesive that might make the door blur more opaque?
@@HaleysCornerr you can definitely find frosted window film online! Theoretically adding more frosted film should make the already frosted glass be more opaque!
I would hang a super lightweight cream curtain in the recess on a small suspension rod, then it should look more uniform
Wait this is genius!!

I did an eyesore side of an upright freezer in our mudroom using contact paper and it turned out great. I say, go for it.
Love how the door came out! Wish I could see the vision like you!
Paint the bulkhead a medium taupey Grey to match the shadow of the under stair area. Then line the back of the glass with a frosted womdow filmif it's flat or maybe spray paint lass frosting if it's not. And definitely wallpaper ❤

That expelair fan above your stove is the cutest I've ever seen 😍 I wish TH-cam influencers would put photos of their items on Pinterest.

Vintage charm ❤ it’s all looking great! Yes to wallpaper, not sure about the fridge😊
Wallpaper for the wall! And maybe use the same matching wallpaper for the fridge? ☺️ and maybe add like a little short vintage window fringe to the top of the door to cover the top?
Yes to wallpaper the wall. Wait on the fridge. Then I would paint the back of the door one color or add an extra frost to it.
Yes on the wallpaper! And what about a tension rod with a matching curtain to make the smaller opening disappear. Great job with your projects!
The door is incredible, I love the way you can see but at the same time you can’t, looks so nice
I would say wallpaper, the stripes one is beautiful, plus with some frames, yes!
absolutely 100% wallpaper!!! it will look so expensive and mature. i love that
yes to wallpaper! as for the fridge i’d wait until everything is in place, but i don’t think it’s a bad idea! love your vids been watching for years 💖
Aw thanks for the suggestions! Love that you’ve been here for so long 🥹❤️
Stain the glass too, make it milky/ opaque, that way it will blend with white above 😊
Love ya ❤
I’d leave the fridge as it is
The wallpaper will be cute!!!
