    I take the view that some players are playing for their lives. They are much more aware of coaches watching the games. They know that each match is an opportunity to literally change their lives. With the knowledge that a World Cup only happens every four years. Some players are just too comfortable...

    good to see countries that aren't that big in football actually killing dreams... imagine Philippines makes it through ahead of co-host New Zealand and 1995 winners Norway 😂
    it also took New Zealand like 18 matches to win their first ever World Cup game... it took the Philippines just 2 games to win their first...

    i really dont understand why new zealanders and western football fans are criticizing philippines for using non-philippine born filipinos after beating new zealand..? when philippines suffered 2-0 loss against switzerland.. no one is criticizng philippines.. but now we won.. negativities and critcisms are being thrown at filipinos... and is it really wrong for someone who is not born in philippines to represent the flag of their roots and bloods,, atleast they have filipino blood, their parents are filipinos, they are eligible to play for our country? theyve been in the philippines, theyve been reconnecting to their filipino roots.. they VOLUNTEERED, they are not begged or forced. ..most importantly they are NOT PAID TONS OF MONEY , they did it to serve the country which they call home... they know in their hearts and minds that they are filipinos, their filipino parents even watched the game raising philippine flag just to show to them that they are filipinos in blood... AND IM SURE WHEN THEY ARE JUST LEARNING THE SPORT DURING THEIR EARLY DAYS, THEIR FILIPINO PARENTS WERE THERE TO GUIDE AND SUPPORT THEM....so i really dont understand why... one example is this german newsoutlet DW , They really highlighted that these filipinos are not philippine born.. www.dw.com/en/world-cup-philippines-secure-historic-first-win/a-66321081 ..or maybe perhaps.. this is a perfect example of WHITE SUPREMACY MINDSET which resulted to bitterness ... they are not naturalized.. they are playing as filipinas..THEY WERE NOT RECRUITED AND PICKED UP SOMEWHERE .They are not "aliens"...based on the fifa rule they are eligible to play as locals..simply because they have evidence that they have filipino parents, they are legal filipinos, the only difference is, they are born/raised and trained abroad.. But THEY ARE ALL FILIPINOS IN DIFFERENT PART OF THE WORLD , and assembled together to become one team to give pride and glory for their country...filipinos are multiculture and multiracial..and we are not forcing those filipino mixed people to recognize their filipino bloods and roots, they have option not to.. but if you have filipino blood, and youre willing to reconnect to your roots and your culture, we are going to accept you with open arms, THATS THE REASON WHY DESPITE BEING HALF BLOODS, WE CALL THESE PLAYERS AS FILIPINOS..they are the ones who made it happen! Not us! if you hear their stories ,each of them ,VOLUNTARILY SELECTED PHILIPPINES as their country to represent,, philippines cant give them huge money but they insisted to play for our country..if their intention is to earn money, they couldve just represent the countries of their birth, Rich and surely can give them money and even proper training support they all need.. or they couldve just represent and become naturalized player of any Arab countries ,,but they chose philippines that cannot offer them luxury, we dont have even proper training facility in our country, .... Now, my second issue is,, yes they are mixed bloods, some of them are half american, for example, Olivia Davies-McDaniel and Sarina Bolden are half americans half filipino, so what if they chose to represent america,. would it make you happy and would prevent you from making fuss and issues ?? , Some of our player are half australian , half norweigian and they chose philippines over the country of their birth which has better football program than ours ..better financial support than ours.... my point is, if you are the one who is going to use halfbloods, its fine. But if we are going to use halfbloods,, ITS WRONG?? THERE ARE SO MANY HALF FILIPINO PLAYING FOR OTHER COUNTRIES, WE HAVE EVEN PURE FILIPINO PALYING FOR OTHER COUNTRIES AND WE ARE NOT EVEN MAKING IT A HUGE ISSUE COZ WE UNDERSTAND THEIR SITUATION.. THEY NEED SUPPORT AND WE CANT GIVE IT TO THEM.. FOR EXAMPLE, WESLEY SO, THE WORLD;'S 5TH RANKED Grandmaster in chess, he is pure filipino ..he once represented the philippines ( sure he have chinese surname but he is filipino, as ive said we are mixed race ),, he chose to represent america..it disappointed us BUT WE ARE NOT MAKING FUSS ABOUT IT! .. another example is MAXINE ESTEBAN.. the top fencing player in whole asia.. SHE CHOSE TO PLAY FOR IVORY COAST .. we are disappointed and sad but again WE ARE NOT MAKING FUSS ABOUT IT..!!! and we are still proud of them coz we know they are still filipinos... now whats wrong if some of our half bloods choose to represent OUR COUNTRY?! ,,, why are you guys making fuss about it?! ... AND LET ME ADD THIS,, OUR PHILIPPINE MEN'S FOOTBALL TEAM, AZKALS IS ALSO COMPRISED OF HALFBLOODS and unfortunately, they are not winning in FIFA, why i cant hear any fuss about them,huh? ... thats why i really considered these fuss and issues being thrown at our women's team purely BITTERNESS..a result of White supremacy mindset and prejudice and stereotype towards south east asians and asians in general...

    • @bayaniquismundojr6630
      @bayaniquismundojr6630 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Example of that is jordan clarkson who is a fil-am. Because of the hagop rule of fiba that a player should get their passport before turnimg 16. They did not let clarkson to play as a local (filipono). They let him play as a naturalized import. Where a country can only field one naturalized player per team as per fiba rule. Fiba allows even a player without any heritage of the country they want to represent as long as they get their passport before 16. What a heck they prefer that way than heritage. Because there are many good fil-foreign basketball players. They restricted the rule to their advantage. What a descrimination to the phiippine national basketball team. They might do the same with fifa rule, cause of the success of pilipinas football team.

      It’s been a year now but the progress is still slow. It would takes time perhaps it would become stagnant, just like what happened to PMNFT, year 2010 the men team were improving and progressing their ranking, however PFF is rubbish organisation. If the Philippines won’t introduce football to all barangay across the country, the progress of football would be stagnant. For the moment, they should utilise and maintain the more contribution of heritage players otherwise Filipinas rankings would be plummeting, just like what’s happening to PMNFT rankings.

    The Philippines was occupied by the Spanish for more than 300 years, dated 1500 to 1898 and the cession by Spain of the Philippines to the United States, dated 1898 to 1946, occupied for 48 years, A 1947 Military Bases Agreement gave the United States a 99-year lease on a number of Philippine military and naval bases in which U.S. authorities had virtual territorial rights. In August 1951, a mutual defense treaty (MDT) was signed between representatives of the Philippines and the United States. Our Filipino soldiers always used to fight for the US and EUROPEAN nations in their war against communism in the 50’s. Most of the Filipino common names are either American or Spanish first name and last name, and Filipino is the only country in Asia that has the largest Christian population because of Spanish colonization. Our national language is Tagalog. There are approximately 4,000 Spanish loan words in Tagalog (between 20% and 33% of Tagalog words), and around 6,000 Spanish words in Visayan and other Philippine languages. Spanish counting system, calendar, time, etc. Taglish or Englog is code-switching and/or code-mixing in the use of Tagalog and English, the most common languages of the Philippines. The words Taglish and Englog are portmanteaux of the words Tagalog and English. As early as 1600 A.D. Filipinos traveled around the world, that is why most Filipinos have Spanish, American, European and, of course, Asian BLOOD. And also, most half Filipino or mixed foreign blood in their childhood abroad are bullied in western countries, but every time they visit the Philippines they are very well appreciated. But sadly, until now, they were kinda questioned, insulted, bullied and discriminated around the globe, just because of winning the World Cup football game. 😂
    I hope because of this long explanation you are satisfied. If not. I guess you guys need to seek professional help.

      Goal differnce matters.
      If NZ wins by goal difference of 4 or more over Swiss, advance tayo.
      If 3 or less, then swiss advance.
      Ndi pwde dn draw sla for same reason.
      Nz winning by big score is unlikely to happen therefore we should cheer for Swiss na.

    18 of the Philippine players were born in America..um..thats a fact

      So? What's wrong with that.:-) Being raised in US, doesn't mean that they denounce being a Filipino. And by the way, one of their parents is a Filipino.

      So? Filipinos are all over the world and give birth all over the world. That does not make their child "not Filipino". By blood, and by the laws of the Philippine Constitution, a child born to a Filipino parent (regardless of birth place) is a Filipino... and FIFA acknowledges this FACT.

      Dude, do you think NZ side are pure? Wrong, the Kiwis are mixture of Irish, Scottish, English, Australian & Pacific. Tell me who has better heritage by blood now?

      Do you know the meaning of multi cultural? Know Philippine history first before you act like a historian who knows the true lineage of ancestry that Filipino has. :) Just a glimpse by the way of our history, our nation was colonized by Spain, US and Japan. Moreover, our ancestors established tradings with a lot of Chinese merchants who decided to migrate our country.

    Okay, let's be honest. This victory is not Philippine's first win. It is actually win by newly naturalized American soccer players. They speak perfect English. I wonder if they know how to speak Philippine.

      Lol you think FIFA would allow them to play if they're all naturalized? Not a single one is naturalized. Our citizenship is by blood so it doesn't matter where they're from

    • @SelwynClydeAlojipan
      @SelwynClydeAlojipan ปีที่แล้ว +32

      They are not newly naturalized Philippine players! Do your research. The Filipinas each have a genetic lineage from at least one of their parents. So they have real Filipino ancestry, birth, culture, and preference to play for the Philippines. And they've been playing for more than four years continuously, rising from rank 74th to rank 46th. Stop calling them naturalized, because they're natural-born Filipinos.
