I don't even train bjj but love these videos.
Its rough at the beginning but its a lot of fun. You won't regret joining.
Join the dark side friend. We heel hook and wristlock every day... and sometimes some oil checks, cause it's cool.
Just started rolling again. Its tight.
Saw this video last night and was able to sub a guy in today’s training when he went for my ankle. Awesome technique
Awesome guys! Thank you!
Using this today
Curious for this one 😊 Watching as we speak!
i'm curious about your opinion, since i think this move is a bit mirror principle-y. Especially the part where the tori is trying to counter rotate from the ankle lock, and the commitment to go towards the ankle lock is what allows for the toe hold grip (the person who moves first loses)?
@@julylifecoach it probably can be explained like that. But for it to be mirroring there should be another action / reaction. For example: uke does rotates left >>> toehold as in video, uke rotates right and stretches leg (to defend) >>> option B.
We didn't see option B.
That is probably on the DVD.
In any case, awesome technique. Never thought about this and will definately play with it!
Yeah I'd like to see a way to bail out to protect from the toe hold.
Every time I see any attacks on the legs I get flashbacks of all the times I’ve screwed my meniscus in training.
Hey brother
Ohw love it! 😎😍
Very good
Can’t wait to steal this move
Bernardo what is your height?
Gold
Cool!!!
My achilles tendon is scared while I'm watching this video
interesting, but it looks to me more like a heel hook than toe hold? as in it seems it attacks the knee actually and not the foot itself? Might be the weed talking but that's how this move seems to me. Looks good tho, hope to add to my arsenal.
Most effective leg locks attack the knee, whether directly or indirectly
Yes, a good time hold actually damages the knee. Be careful for that!
This toe hold very easily damage the outer angle , very dangerous
Why is Victor wearing a TaeKwonDo belt? Well, he has his name in Korean on his belt anyway.
It's clearly a bjj belt, and I have seen more and more guys with their names in what I suspected was japanese on their belts...I'd like to know when that started and why though
@@jameldean4212 It's odd that the name is in Korean. Japanese makes sense since Jiujiutsu is originally from Japan. I know a lot of TaeKwonDo schools also teach BJJ, but somehow I doubt Hugo trains at one of them.
Nice video but if you want toe holds learn legit catch wrestling.
