That aquarium was cool. The mullets were funny! I like the view along the sea wall, though it seemed a bit intimidating! That is a beautiful seaside town. I enjoyed the tour throughout the town. 😊

Hi guys Lyme Regis looks another fabulous place down there certainly plenty to do. The wind is always tricky the sea was definitely a bit choppy the otherside of the breakwater. Loved seeing the mullets nibbling at your hands! The starfish was really cool too. That is a beautiful area and I can certainly understand why it is one of your favorites. The town is very cute and I enjoyed hearing about Mary Anning as well. 😊👍

It must be 55 years since I was last there but remember it being a nice place to visit and you just reinforced that too. The view over the harbour from The Cobb was amazing and for the end of October, that weather was great too. Don't remember the aquarium being there but that me be a recent addition from my last time there but a nice interactive experience there. Dramatic footage on top of The Cobb but looked a bit sketchy with those waves splashing up over the wall. Parts of the beach reminded me of Chesil Beach in Weymouth, where we used to holiday when I as a kid, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, Glad we could bring back some memories. It is a very good place with loads to do. Used to fish out of there with Dad so some good times had there. Ooo Lyme Regis, been a number of years since I've been there! What a lovely day to see the lovely town, especially in October! The cobb looked so picturesque. Haha those fishes nearly took Kim in the water with them! What a great experience though! Blimey the size of the lobby!! That was a fantastic heritage museum! Great to see the beach so lively and busy! Sandy beaches, interesting about them bringing the sand in! But nice still. The town looks charming, like you mentioned, great to see those artisan shops going strong. I always ALWAYS enjoy your videos Watto & appreciate the time and effort you put in to sharing and showcasing these incredible 'hidden' places! Thank you so much. Well done guys, can see you were under the weather but you both smashed this one like pros! What an amazing place. Feeding the mullets looked fun and I was so happy to see it so busy out of season and with so many independent and open shops. I keep taking one step forward and three steps back with my interest in retail, I think i find hope somewhere only to have it shattered a week or two later by some new progress on its decline. Glad it’s been halted here and Thankyou for putting it on the map! Hope your both fully well and able to enjoy a very well deserved indulgent Christmas xx
Thank you. Yes we were absolutely knackered that day and very run down. A bit of sea air and a wander helped though. Loved the aquarium. And the guy there was very enthusiastic. Which was great to see. Lyme has managed to keep the shops and a lot of time being independent is brilliant. Very very busy in the summer months but also does well off season. How on earth did I miss this???? So sorry Paul and Kim. Making up for it now. Love coastal towns. Am a beach walker myself. Don't do a lot of it here . Oh those fish...I've had my feet in a bath of those ( but the fish were smaller) tickles like anything. Fun though. Oh those steps look very narrow. Bit windy but that's what's so cool about being on the coast and by the water. Good to ahve the over dubbing options isn't it? 🤣🤣! Gorgeous view from the 'point'. Gorgeous buildings along the boulevard. By the way- congratulations on the 200K views. Awesome present going into 2025. ( I get the strong impression many don't watch mine to the end😅) Clever lady - Mary Anning. Stoney beach - and lovely beach huts. What a lovely day. Thanks for ending my watch year with this video. Fantastic stuff Watto. We visited Lyme Regis many years ago now and yes I did walk the Cobb! Good to have a look around the aquarium. A shame the Wrasse in the tank with the Sea bass didn't look to well, perhaps it heard your flounder joke 🤣. You certainly saw more of Lyme Regis that we did when we went, it was a busy summers day and the kids were on the beach for most of it. I do remember having to stop seaguls nicking our fish and chips. Happy days, thanks for jogging my memory,

Lyme Regis is a favourite location of mine as I really liked the movie "The French Lieutenant's Woman" and naturally had to make the pilgrimage to Lyme Regis to pose dramatically on the Cobb, like Meryl Streep did in the movie. 😀 We were there years later to meet up with friends from Australia who were also holidaying in Dorset and Lyme Regis was the main town we all knew how to get to!
