The ending was bittersweet. In the end, Scrappy finally figured out how to control himself and slowly began to become a bit more mature, but it was all too late. Erica fell out of love with Scrappy maybe even long before,. They both just came to realize, they both loved each other, but they weren't in love with each other. They were just not meant to be, and they both agreed that it was okay.
