I’ve been getting acrylic nails since the 80s, the time and money I’ve reclaimed doing my own nails is rewarding. It’s also relaxing to carve out some me time to doing my nails. Watching you has been an inspiration.
Yes doing your own nails are very relaxing!!! She has also helped me as well!!! This is my new favorite thing to do...,. "Whenever I get time". 😂 Save money and not making them rich!!! Open up your own if you can!!!
I got interested in my nails at 3 o’clock in the morning three months ago after watching 400 TikTok videos. It’s very expensive so far because every time I do them I find something else I need that would make it simpler or better. And I’m not very good, but I find if I break it up in a manageable chunks I can get it done and they look half sensible. I’m just gonna keep practicing.
This is what I use. Sometimes I’ll climb up in my bed and watch some videos and paint my nails or do some swatches and I’ll use my power bank and a mini lamp to flash cure in between.
soft gel tips are just SO much easier to do at home especially because you can literally get them pre shaped in your length your want and if you prep them you dont have to do too much cuticle work.. saves SO much time and nerves
as a nail tech who does gel nails it is definitely something worth spending money on if you don’t want to have to learn yourself because learning how to do gel nails is a big commitment
With each new set (wether it’s soft gel tips/polygel or acrylic) you are getting better and better! Say this as a nail tech. You are doing amazing! Love your videos and always looking forward for them🥹🥹🩷🩷
I’m thinking the $100 would be for someone without all of the needed products. I personally mix different brands together so I’ll never purchase a complete kit.
I actually just started doing my nails my self now I started last month and I just finished my second set!! I was so sick and tired of nail salons charging 70+ dollars for a regular medium french tip. My current set is a longer french tip and it was the first time I did it myself, however it took me 3 and a half hours😭😭 so worth it tho and they came out so cute for my first time and i’m saving so much money
I LOVE that you show everyone how to adjust a soft Gel nail that does not fit your nail. We don't just "make it work"! Take the time and file it ... thank you!
On one hand yes they are a glorified press on. However they lost a lot longer and they take a little bit more work than just gluing on a nail. I used to do poly gel nails all the time but I'm absolutely hooked on soft gel tips now. My main interest was in having nice looking nails. Doing the soft gel method has been a total lifesaver for me.
hi your like my inspiration and in my 16 years of life ive never been able to successfully wear nails and i just successfully wore a set of nails for a month without them falling off ty for the tips of nail prep
I want to thank you. I’m just scrolling through TH-cam and I’m fascinated with all these nail helpful heads. I am so tired of going to the nail salon not getting what I want. Can’t wait to be able to do what you’re doing at home on a Saturday instead of spending all that time in a nail salon and spending a whole Lotta money, you
Thanx for another fun video. Your daughter is getting so big! I love how she wanted to help by giving you that nail brush. The kit does seem like quality, but for that price, I personally feel like I would just buy the apres kit. In real life, though, I would go with a cheaper alternative like beetles, modelones, or born pretty. From my personal experience, those brands have been good, especially if you are just starting your "at home diy" nail journey. I have done my own nails for a few years now, but I was using Color Street, Dashing Diva and Lily & Fox, so the gel and uv lamps are new in the last six months in my diy nail journey. I enjoy watching your videos and learning new stuff.
I bought their top gel a few years ago and actually used it up. The brush is spectacular. I still have the bottle and I refill it with the huge jug of Saviland top gel I got from Amazon for dip that is great as well. That was like $15 for 2.5 oz a while ago. It’s probably gone up, but it’s a pretty decent top gel, especially if you are like me and the first time you do top coat you will definitely be filing it off to fix things.
Those nails were gorgeous cos you put your own stamp on them and I don’t think I would pay that price either. we love your honest reviews. Looking amazing as always Evie and Maya is so cute ♥️
Heyyyy Evie and Fam! 🎀🤍🎀 The kit is definitely on the pricey side... thank you for reviewing for us! 💯 I LOVE the poofy nail art trend! Sooo cute! 😍 I definitely need to try this! Have a great weekend beautiful! 😘
I used to love doing dip powder until I discovered gel x and I've loved it even more so after watching your videos. I've learned some great tips on how to do them
Started using dip when I started doing my own nails but I get “dip” flu. And I hated adding tip. They never laid right on my nails. Now I use full cover soft gel nails and I get to spend more time decorating than building and I’m loving it.
Your daughter is beautiful! She was just supposed to say hi made me laugh. You are so talented. My fingers have lost some dexterity because if arthritis so I just do plain polishing.
Other than it being a known brand I don't see why this kit is $95. The kit doesn't even come with colored gel polish or a full-size lamp. I guess if you're a professional you'd have everything already. It just doesn't seem practical for an at home nail artist.
I love your videos. You inspired me to start doing my nails at home. I just did a spring set using patty gel, marshmallow and so cute, and the new spring fling collection from nails by dev.
Thank you for taking out the time to do your puffy Nails your puffy heart I don't think I'm talented enough to do that I do like the nails set I think it's worth the money that you spent and I might try this kit thank you for testing it and giving your opinion on it love y'all🙏🏽💯👏👏💅💐
I have tried a few of the soft gel tips and they just pop off. But I have issues with getting anything to stick to my nails regardless of the brands of medium and pirimers. Before I went diy 6 years ago even my nail techs used to have a go at me as I would go back 2 weeks later with half of them hanging off. I have like self peel off nails lol
I've tried so many dupes and I always go back to Apres. Soft gel tips have to be VERY flexible for me or they affect how my nails grow in. They will grow in with a noticeable indent. So far only Apres and a super cheap brand from China called Design Nail are the only ones that work for me. Lately though I've been using dual forms and polygel or builder gel to sculpt my nails. I've been using dual forms since before gel was a thing so I'm loving that the trend is back. With the silicone inserts that make French tips easy - I'm just loving it!
Another TH-camr suggested Aprés to me bc I was looking for full cover tips to for my high natural arch. I didn't get the $100 kit since I just needed the tips but they fit perfectly! Paired w/ Beatles nail glue gel and Model Ones peel off base coat, I'm making all my holiday/ event themed nail sets ahead of time. Especially when I have more than one idea in mind I can switch them out in a breeze. 😁🤗💜 Tfs Evie they were beautiful as always
That was easy .. cool... 👍🏽... I just gotta go to the beauty supply store and get some clear nails.. the press on kind. I already have the base coat and builder gel. So glad I found out builder gel is NOT used for bonding .. but I do have some glue gel I can use for bonding the nails on.. I normally use it to glue my nail charms on. It works excellent 👌🏽... 💅🏽💅🏼
I started with Revel over 4.5 years ago doing dip powder nails!! Found a bunch of amazing small dip powder companies and like 1500 dip powders later- I have more dip than I’ll ever use in my entire life!! 😂
This soft gel press-ons changed the game for me! Acrylic is so hard, especially with your non-dominant hand. Started doing my own nail extensions during Covid and haven't gone back! I used the kits at the store with just the glue, but the way my nails are they popped off too much.
I’m bought the Apres kit for $120, but I had to buy the extra OOO for My Thumb just in case. I’m very happy with it. That’s basically two nail appointments and I’m saving so much money….When this kit runs out I’m gonna try Kiara Sky and see which I like best….
❤ i’ve been purchasing revel products for quite a few years probably for at least. Their dip powders are very nice and you can get a lot of deals and they do have some Gel products also.👍 There’s another one out also called sparkle, they do gel, polishes and dips, and all kinds of stuff also 👍 I do a lot of the press on tabs. You can buy the press on tabs and you can put more than one sticky tab onto your nail and onto the back of the nail tip if needed. I found that when I do the press on nails with the sticky tabs my nails can stay on up to two weeks and that’s taking showers too! And if they start coming off, peel them off, clean them up and put on more tabs and stick them on or stick new nails on, and you can change them quite often mine I have bumped them I’ve had open things with the end of my nails and they’ve never come off the tabs. But you have to prep your finger before you put the tabs on.👍 Now, some of these charging cords that go to nail lamps and other products, use the same type of charging cord and the end of the cord, that matches a charging cord for a cell phone so I have it like a 10 foot cell phone, charging cord, I plug it right into my Nail caring glam and I don’t even use the original👍 Also, I thought I would mention, for years, years and years, I’m talking about like maybe 40 years, I could not get my nails to grow hardly passed the fridge! When they would grow, they were so thin they were nearly see-through, and I could bend them right in half and they would always peel. My nail beds were very thin. I never could understand why I went to the doctor. They don’t know why more vitamins, so I took biotin and everything I could think of to try to help my nails to grow and be normal! So I really suffered all these years, Until about a year ago when I had to go on protein powder for health reasons,, and two weeks in I noticed that my nails were growing past the free edge, and they were actually sort of white color, and I was able to grow them out about a quarter of an inch past my free edge! So I assumed, that it must be protein that I must have been protein deficient. And you do get a massive amount of protein when you’re drinking of protein drink shakes whatever. My nails now are the longest they’ve ever been since I was a teenager!! So if anyone is suffering, it could be a protein issue. Our hair skin and nails are made up of a lot of protein, so kin and protein are very important and some people don’t get enough in their daily diets and the protein in our bodies as we age. So I hope this information may be helped someone if your suffering from brittle thin nails, you might want to try protein powder I use it as a shake and milk , and I purchased a plant. So that’s my helpful story😊
Hey Evie!! If you want 3D art, Jello Jello has these 3D gels that come in a tube! They're non-wipe and that way you wont have to go over the design in multiple layers
i believe that revel nail is higher end DIY nail company i have been doing my nails for 8 years and revel nail is one of the three companies i tried like sparkle and co and peppi gel. I like the revel nail products they are really nice quality and pretty affordable.
I’ve been getting acrylic nails since the 80s, the time and money I’ve reclaimed doing my own nails is rewarding. It’s also relaxing to carve out some me time to doing my nails. Watching you has been an inspiration.
Ditto!
I agree
Same here! When I go for spa day, the ladies at the nail salon are amazed and tell me I need to work at the shop.
Yes doing your own nails are very relaxing!!! She has also helped me as well!!! This is my new favorite thing to do...,. "Whenever I get time". 😂 Save money and not making them rich!!! Open up your own if you can!!!

Right! Her daughter flipped the script. She wanted her screentime too 😂
Literally laughed out loud 🤣
Ya kids in a nutshell baby 😂😂😂😂
‘Alright you doin too much. You was just supposed to say hi’ 🤣🤣🤣
What a joy to see your daughter. And love your nails.
Hey Evie I think using a power bank for short cord lamps would be helpful for you 🥰
This is what I use. Sometimes I’ll climb up in my bed and watch some videos and paint my nails or do some swatches and I’ll use my power bank and a mini lamp to flash cure in between.
Another lazy girl tip lol. Sometimes when I'm watching a show while doing my nails I use the usb of my laptop for my lamp 🤭
Miss Maya was taking creative control 😂😂😂 so adorable! I love the puffy nail design, now I wanna try lok
I have chronic illness/fatigue/migraines/dizziness, and soft gel tips really make it possible for me to still do my own nails ❤
soft gel tips are just SO much easier to do at home especially because you can literally get them pre shaped in your length your want and if you prep them you dont have to do too much cuticle work.. saves SO much time and nerves
Right i love it
and it's almost guaranteed to be exactly what you wanted!
"baby pcks my nail design challenge" over there trying to get in on the video...adorable.
You're rocking that red lipstick, E! Its so pretty on you!!!❤❤❤😍😍😍🙌🏼🙌🏼

This is why i love
Content creators, they feed our curiosity, I would never, ever spend $100 on a Soft Gel kit
I’m thinking the $100 would be for someone without all of the needed products. I personally mix different brands together so I’ll never purchase a complete kit.
always look forward to you uploading ❤🎉
Yes!
Your daughter is adorable 🥰 Thanks for testing this kit for us! I'll stick with the Beetles tips! Much more affordable and works just as well!
I actually just started doing my nails my self now I started last month and I just finished my second set!! The finish product is amazing! You did an amazing job

LOVEEEE the Cowboy Carter merch!!!!!!!!!!
I'm loving the nails you already have on.
I had the dip powder from Revel, loved it!
I want to thank you. I’m just scrolling through TH-cam and I’m fascinated with all these nail helpful heads. I am so tired of going to the nail salon not getting what I want. Can’t wait to be able to do what you’re doing at home on a Saturday instead of spending all that time in a nail salon and spending a whole Lotta money, you
I haven’t done acrylic nails in awhile! I only use the full cover tips. I also still use Patty Gel❤
Thanx for another fun video. Your daughter is getting so big! I love how she wanted to help by giving you that nail brush. As a nail tech, I love the Apres brand especially for clients that want nails just for an event, for my every 3 week clients I love builder gel ❤

They have some of the best top gel. They also have great dip powders
I love the soft gel tips way better than tryna figure out acrylic. I could never get my powder to liquid right. Lol
She is so adorable!!! 🥰 wanting to be all up in whatever Mommy is doing!!!🫶🏽
Those nails were gorgeous cos you put your own stamp on them and I don’t think I would pay that price either. we love your honest reviews. Looking amazing as always Evie and Maya is so cute ♥️
Heyyyy Evie and Fam! 🎀🤍🎀
The kit is definitely on the pricey side... thank you for reviewing for us! 💯 I LOVE the poofy nail art trend! Sooo cute! 😍 I definitely need to try this! Have a great weekend beautiful! 😘
Omg. I remember when you were pregnant with her…. Time flies!! She’s precious ❤
She’s so pretty awww
I always watch u when I do my nails it’s like we on ft together 😮❤
Hi I just wanted to say I love your show!!!! You inspired me to get out there and take nail tech courses, like I've always wanted to.
I just love watching your videos! From London 🇬🇧
I used to love doing dip powder until I discovered gel x and I've loved it even more so after watching your videos. I've learned some great tips on how to do them
I use soft gel tips from Makarrt, but I apply them with acrylic. For me it's easier than the gel application.
Same last longer, the gels don't last for me pop right off even with good prep
I’ve used revel for years!! I love this dip powders.
Baby girl is so cute and that's exactly what mine does when she "comes to say hi" 😅 I love your channel! ❤️
Great video ❤ love that design! Your daughter is so adorable ❤
Hi Evie I know that you had a issue with enailcouture, but I think that they have French Manicure Tips for long nail beds. Love the video 😊
I really like revel products. I use the do powder. It's fantastic!
Started using dip when I started doing my own nails but I get “dip” flu. And I hated adding tip. They never laid right on my nails. Now I use full cover soft gel nails and I get to spend more time decorating than building and I’m loving it.
im herrrreee!!! hey girl!!! my notifications just came in! now time to enjoy my favorite nail tech!!!
Ooh! I live near the Revel HQ-love their dip powders. I started seeing the ads for these so I’m excited to see how this works.
She’s so beautiful 😍 ❤ cute nails as always. ❤
I love the press on when im rushing but I love you polygel. It’s amazing. I can’t say that enough.
you taught me so much about nail my nails used to be crusty no bc of you it is very healthy and I am a nail tech now
Glad you tried this , as a beginner i have been doing these and i love it , it’s so much easier for me and as someone hard on nails this is sturdy !!
Your puffy heart is awesome! So happy for new videos. Thank you!!❤ love the thumb
Your daughter is beautiful! She was just supposed to say hi made me laugh. You are so talented. My fingers have lost some dexterity because if arthritis so I just do plain polishing.

You should do a video where you ask Maya which products you should use for your nails 😄❤️ (may or may not lead to chaos 😂)
Hey perfect t shirt same one I picked.. great video❤❤
21:33 i like that you’re not afraid to try different techniques
She is so cute! And your nails is super match your shirt lol
Puffy French tips or some "aesthetic" 90's abstract lines would look great with the puffy paint.
Revel is a company that sells in the Target, Walmart, and nail supply stores near me in Wisconsin.
Thank you for taking out the time to do your puffy Nails your puffy heart I don't think I'm talented enough to do that I do like the nails set I think it's worth the money that you spent and I might try this kit thank you for testing it and giving your opinion on it love y'all🙏🏽💯👏👏💅💐
Great job as always Evie!!! Love love love the detailing on these. Tell the cutie pie, You Tube says Hi!!! Love love love her
You was just supposed to say hi took me 😂😂😂😂awww she is adorable ☺️
These are beautiful
The way I waved back and said hi to baby girl ❤❤
Your baby is such a beautiful doll 😊😊😊
I have tried a few of the soft gel tips and they just pop off. But I have issues with getting anything to stick to my nails regardless of the brands of medium and pirimers. ahhhhhhh! I love your shirt girl. We Twins!
LOVE your shirt!!! i laughed when i seen it because i just put mine on this morning too!
Thank you for sharing❤
I put primer on the inside of my full cover gel nails too. It chemically etches the nail. That step helps my nails stay on for like a month
Cute!! I’ve used their dip powders and like them. They were the first brand I tried when the we couldn’t go outside and I started doing my own nails.
Looking forever fornnail help. You the one. ❤
You did absolutely beautiful work ❤️ yur nails ❤❤
Mya has gotten so big(hope I spelled her name correctly, if not I apologize). She sounds like such a big girl. Perfect blend of you and Marcus 😊.
I have that light payed like $20 0n Amazon but mind has a timer on it
That!!! Shirt!!!!!!!!!!! ❤
Love the shirt! 🐝 😍
We love you Evie! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those were totally cute!
I have a lamp just like that, that I got from Temu, for $5!! 🤣
And I love it, it’s one of the best flash cure lights I have bought!
I just placed an order for your poly gel nails! I’m so excited to get them! Love from Guam ❤
Learning a lot. You do such a great job.
I started with Revel over 4.5 years ago doing dip powder nails!! Found a bunch of amazing small dip powder companies and like 1500 dip powders later- I have more dip than I’ll ever use in my entire life!! 😂
Revel is a dio powder brand, I love their powders!
This soft gel press-ons changed the game for me! Acrylic is so hard, especially with your non-dominant hand. Started doing my own nail extensions during Covid and haven't gone back! I used the kits at the store with just the glue, but the way my nails are they popped off too much.
Acrylic is hard !!! You are the official so hearing you say that is comforting but yeah i just couldn’t do it with the acrylic
I’m bought the Apres kit for $120, but I had to buy the extra OOO for My Thumb just in case. I’m very happy with it. That’s basically two nail appointments and I’m saving so much money….When this kit runs out I’m gonna try Kiara Sky and see which I like best….
You have a thing for lamps and mine is nail drills
❤ i’ve been purchasing revel products for quite a few years probably for at least. Their dip powders are very nice and you can get a lot of deals and they do have some Gel products also.👍
There’s another one out also called sparkle, they do gel, polishes and dips, and all kinds of stuff also 👍

But you have to prep your finger before you put the tabs on.👍
Now, some of these charging cords that go to nail lamps and other products, use the same type of charging cord and the end of the cord, that matches a charging cord for a cell phone so I have it like a 10 foot cell phone, charging cord, I plug it right into my Nail caring glam and I don’t even use the original👍
Also, I thought I would mention, for years, years and years, I’m talking about like maybe 40 years, I could not get my nails to grow hardly passed the fridge! So that’s my helpful story😊
I have the kit from dollar general and put them on they long nail tips❤❤
I love Revel Nails… but I only buy the dip, definitely one of the best
