Great video , if you was to purchase that PW cable separately it would cost you £1,000 unlike the crappy cable that came with my 64 Audio A18t. Empire Ears will hopefully be making these in custom form towards the end of the year as well as the new Hero. I hope you will be able to do a comparison of the Hero against 64 Audio Nio. In the meantime enjoy your music and keep safe.
Will do-- I want these to have a proper break-in period before passing judgement. Out of the box they are lighter on bass than I prefer, I know, shocking to say about any offering from Empire Ears. But I do believe the bass will come forward as the dynamic driver loosens up during break-in.
@@DirectorsGarage in my experience the bass usually recedes or settles, not the other way round. But then I've only had experience with 64 Audio dynamic drivers so the EE woofers might be different. In any case the Odin is not said to have forward bass like the Legend X or Fourte. Hope it changes for the better for you but I wouldn't hold my breath 😉
@@guylerner8416 Actually discovered something that is going to change my assessment entirely. This headphone should not be deep-seated. The port where you attach your tips is long and thick-- so thick many of my smaller tips do not fit these. You can place these fairly deep-- and that's always where I start. So my initial impressions have been that the bass was too controlled. As I was messing around with tips, I changed to the Sedna tips-- and just got them in the ear canal to make a seal-- and all of a sudden this became an entirely different listening experience. There is a TON of bass here. And it absolutely slams. All of my notes prior was that the bass was too controlled. Not any longer. Shallow seat these, fellas.
@@DirectorsGarage haha, yes I saw on Head-Fi. Welcome to the wonderful world of shallow fit IEMs. It's the only way I personally use IEMs mainly because I hate the feeling of anything deep seated. Also a shallow fit uses your ear anatomy like walls in a nightclub, so that bass will be slamming! Glad you're enjoying.
I have the sneaking suspicion that the Odeon’s are worth it. I’ve got the Campfire Audio Atlas’s and they blow me away and they are 1/3 the cost of the Odin’s. Wow.
Tennmak Turbo. They run small, normally I take a medium, but in the Turbos I take a large. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0823QKMJN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I totally agree with you RE: burn in. As you say, nothing better than developing your ears with your new in ears as they change sound slightly or dramatically.
It’s at or near the top of IEMs. There are a handful that I have yet to audition (several coming soon to this channel- stay tuned!) And many over ears still sound better, to me, anyway. The Odin is still overpriced, in my opinion. Of course that didn’t deter me!
There's a diaphragm driven by an electromagnetic force. So in theory, as the diaphragm ages, it should become more pliable over time, and give a more robust result.
And one more thing. You are the furthest thing from a “douchebag with a knife.” This review is excellent and you make me want to buy these IEMS. I’d love to experience the best. :)

Those are stunning.
Tried today, the cable it came with it I think they are something like the PW audio's 1960s cable, which is like 1/4 price of the earphone...
Great video Mike, enjoyed it. Please do an Odin/U12t comparison if you can. Regards from Cape Town!

Hey Michael, you're a lucky guy... then again something tells me you make your own luck. Love you cool, laid back reviews, keep on keeping on!

@@vvmaster2010 you’ll be in mid bass heaven. Enjoy. :)
What tips are the turbos you mentioned? Love your style!

I will also come back when you have 100k subs... Seriously man such honest reviews & unboxings..great stuff..
Is this the absolute best earphones ? or is there anything better out there ?

@@DirectorsGarage Thanks i'm new to IEMs coming from full size very high end open back headphones that's why i'm asking.
The first thing my man plays on the Odins is some dead! Love it.
Just keep truckin' on! Thanks for watching!
I love your reviews. Thank you.
I have a question so far... What do you mean by "they are dynamic drivers so they're gonna break in"?
There's a diaphragm driven by an electromagnetic force. So in theory, as the diaphragm ages, it should become more pliable over time, and give a more robust result.

Hello, when are you planning to sell? For how much?
