Land fires ,open the booms up & spray . That FIRE TAMER ,is great for outside attack into interiors or exteriors from feet away .....brush fires ,use booms
Sonya Beam technically dudes driving a combine in this video , if you watched the beginning of this vid & the original vid from Welkers , you would see Big Brute , has a fire apparatus mounted on front of Big Brute . And that brush fire was caused by a “combine”
Fire is used as a residue management in wheat and rice and some corn here in arkansas dont know why they burn corn residue considering our soils only have 1 to 1.5 percent organic matter mature wheat does not yield that much organic matter but after harvest beans are usally double cropped behind wheat
Nick, have you guys considered putting the sprayer to use in concert with the fire tamer yet?? I just thought about that and think it would help cover more ground....
Rotary combines and white caps kinda go hand in hand, doesn't matter the color of the machine either.Over the years I've ran both cylinder machines, and rotary machines,in hard threshing wheat we always had less white caps with the cylinder machines.
Always fight field fires while driving on the burnt side of the fire. The fire can't change directions and come back on you because its fuel (the crop) is already burnt away
Always have floor mats in a your pickup, the combine in my profile picture decided to light up a few years ago and we had the fire beat out with floor mats by the time the fire department got there
I'm a little surprised that they didn't immediate extend the booms on that water tractor as soon as the front of the fire had been put out, so to quickly wet-down the burn scar.
It would almost pay for itself if you found a old water truck that flush streets. You have switches turn on each discharge spot. Left side or right side and you even have a canon on top. It's just a thought. Sorry for the loss of your crops but glad no one was hurt.

This is why I going to be looking into getting my pilot license and buying a S.E.A.T if i can achive my dreams of buying a farm and putting down roots....if a neighboor feild catches fire I can help from the air.
You wouldn't be able to get enough flow out of all of the booms would be my guess, plus you don't want to extend the booms over the fire because it will melt harnesses
Not pointing any fingers but I find it kinda odd that they’d put a deck gun on a tractor then boom, fire. And I’d assume they don’t just keep it full of water
You should go for the Head of the fire to knock it down so your not chasing it. Then clean up the flanks. FF without proper PPE on a fire is ignorant. They did that in the 60's.

How many trains went past as you guys fought that fire?
Way to many...
Always fight field fires while driving on the burnt side of the fire. The fire can't change directions and come back on you because its fuel (the crop) is already burnt away
That makes sense
I was looking for this comment, that was my first thought .... get in the black!
Always have floor mats in a your pickup, the combine in my profile picture decided to light up a few years ago and we had the fire beat out with floor mats by the time the fire department got there
Haha that’s awesome, never heard of that
We always have old pairs of jeans. Hold by the pant legs and beat fires out real quick.
Great job
Thanks!
Start a fire with his canon ball, Oh look there is a fire on the horizon, heh
Hummmmm funny how that happens
Hartung Family Farms. Is that really how the fire started though?
@@zacharyanonymous5170 nah I don't think so
I'm a little surprised that they didn't immediate extend the booms on that water tractor as soon as the front of the fire had been put out, so to quickly wet-down the burn scar.
The issue would be is that you wouldn't be able to put enough water through the boom
Every rural fire department in farming country needs a big brute.
Yes they do!

@@HartungFamilyFarms But alas...me getting my own farm is just a dream i can never achive....
Why didnt yall just open the sprayers and drive through it lol
That’s what I was thinking as well!
Dylan Joseph Unless the gas line is punctured by something like debris or heated and warped into breaking it doesn’t really do anything...
@Dylan Joseph or dont drive over it just make the sprayer go over it
@Dylan Joseph the brute is so tall it wouldn’t get the fuel line
Lmao that's what she says keep licking it LMFFAO
Never seen a engine go off-roading till today
It was very cool but very scary
really liked thid one real nice editing
Thanks Julian!
Nice video
Wow what was the cause of the fire
Combine, probably a bearing
does a fire on a field like that happen often since the fire department looked quite well equiped and trained for something like this
It does happen more than we would like
Hell yea Cummins powered ford
It’s a beast!
When going over for ambers why not extend booms for better coverage
You wouldn't be able to get enough flow out of all of the booms would be my guess, plus you don't want to extend the booms over the fire because it will melt harnesses
Wait so I’m new and so you work for welker farms or what
Hahaha no I work for John Deere and I was out in their area
Hartung Family Farms oh cool
what started that fire? your canon ball?
Haha no, it was a machine fire
They should fill the fertilizer tank with water and use that
That's what we did!
Like use the sprayer itself
Like the things fertilizer comes out of
That would’ve been cool
The just slows down to see what’s going on
Wow
I know
So is it a common thing for these fields to catch fire?
aaaahhhhhh the music
Ahh thank you
Why didn't yall just boom out the sprayer and soapy the black at the end? Just wondering
What caused the fire
Combine failure of some sort
Did you drive to Montana or fly ?
Flew there! And thanks!
What was that wheat yielding?
Ballpark of 20
@@HartungFamilyFarms Are u sure? It looked like more 🙄
