So what's the point of crowd control when classes have s and superarmor in every skill??
That’s a really good point! I think that most classes are so protected now that the game has pushed the meta into ranged glass cannon classes dominating the pvp state as they don’t have the downside of being more vulnerable than bruiser classes. Not sure what the right balances would be, but I also know that most classes take effort and practice to stay protected seamlessly or to utilize your unprotected moves in the right situations.

I love both because they are so fun in different ways, but awk is way better for pvp in every way. Pve succ is only better at super high ap like 301 and above, anything average and above is still a faster and easier grind on awk. I make the content for succ every once in a while because it’s a nice change and not many people play succ striker 😁

I go with the narcs for stats, in my opinion it isnt worth running distos since the dp loss is so drastic. Making yourself take more dmg never felt the move to me, on a tanky melee class meant to soak up hits
What better awa or succ?
Awakening is better in just about every regard. I just like to play both and I think that succ is a really fun playstyle!

Thanks so much! I run the eva armors and kutum with 2 pen narcs. Sits me at 281/282/393. I’ll try to remember to link my garmoth gear setup next time I’m on my pc!
Is succ striker actually good in group fights or no?
No, awakening is better for groups in every way. Succ has no protection in its most damaging combos so you need to be able to kill with your few protected burst skills or well timed combos.

how do you have so much cc prevention? I swear like every moment my striker gets stunned and for long periods of time even with 1100+ evasion. are you just showing clips where you run in with e-buff ?
I have 1000-1050 evasion, but most of the time I’m in protected combos or burst. Times where I use unprotected moves or flows are scenarios that I know I am safe or I am taking calculated risks in which I am confident I am using the skills before or after my enemies have used their cc. The succession e-buff doesn’t actually give you extra resistances like awakening, it actually gives you ap instead. Succession is very difficult to use viably in pvp outside of 1v1, so these clips are examples where I feel I outplayed the opponents. The only defensive bonus over awakening is that succession striker gains a lot more evasion rate and passive dp from trading blows, that is a help as well.
I use griffon helm, 4x Han hooms, and the resplendent alchemy stone of protection so I sit around 55% all resistances

If i remember correctly: +pvp dmg/-dp on skull crusher, +monster/+crit% on wolfs fang, +acc/-eva on rampaging predator, +downsmash chance/bleed on roaring tiger, +eva/-acc on rage hammer, and +mov spd/+attck spd on knee hammer
