I *don't* think it was so wonderful for your teammates to ask you about your orientation. That's a very inappropriate question to ask someone. Coming out is something LGBT people should be able to do in their own time, in their own way, and other people should respect that. But it sounds like you handled it great! I can see that the subject is still hard for you to talk about openly, and that's OK. Over time, it will get easier. It's like breaking in a new pair of shoes: you need some time to adjust to your new public identity. And you're off to a great start.
