I think there is a reason why Turkey is keeping you for so long.... plans are meant to be changed and travbelling doesn’t always mean going through a maximum of countries. Your videos keep confirming how incredibly wonderful Turkish people are. This is so rare!

Im 100% sure they moved you from the beach so you wouldn't scare off turtles. We had an apartment next to the beach for 20 years and i've never ever seen turtles nesting at the beach infront of us but if we walked few km along the beach there was a protected area without development and they were always nesting there. If there are a lot lights and noises they just get scared and this is one of main problems with turtles as there aren't many undeveloped beaches left..

Yes ! You are right and we have been learning all about the turtles ... more to come xx

Oh! Chris and Marianne I really felt for you both. 🤗🤗🤗 People employed in these places have a totally different attitude.
We experienced similar when we were buying our house many years ago. We then met a wonderful man who helped us. He was such a treasure, a bit like Lavent!
Think you have struck on a great plan. Turkey is the best place in the world to be stuck in.
Thank you for another interesting Video.
Keep Safe, most of all Keep Smiling.

I live in downtown (15-20 mins from airport) and if you guys need a safe parking spot while you’re away you can always use ours. Also I can drop you guys to the airport so you don’t have to pay extra. Have a nice trip!

I love how you managed to keep so calm at the airport! Those 'official' places get me so stressed. The last time we were at our regional airport, I asked a lady where I could take photos and she said that, if she saw me taking photos of anything but my fiance, she would have my camera confiscated and I probably wouldn't get it back! I know now that that's rubbish, as so many people take photos and videos in airports, but she just loved being 'officious'!
Anyway, another great video (and the one of Side), I almost feel like I'm there with you guys and almost wish I was! The place looks fantastic and I can think of worse places to be stuck for a few more months! Keep up the good work!

I have lived in Şanlıurfa (in the south east of Turkey)for about 9 years. People in east and south east much friendlier and more helpful than any part. But you will have culture shock. Be ready for everything. Although I am Turkish, I have been suprised everyday. And you will probably have problem in communicating. You can't find english speaking people on streets. When you met someone who speaks English, take his/ her number.

Hi, to solve your customs problem have you tried asking around at the Marina in Antalya? Foreign yacht owners have to put their boat into bond at a marina when they leave the country and there are agents experienced in sorting out the formalities. Also marinas often have secure parking for owners cars, maybe you could do a deal? Good luck with your travels. Turkey is a fabulous country to explore, we ended up spending 5 years there !

Isn't it the case? and we have lived in many countries, the airport authorities, customs et al, are NO REFLECTION WHATSOEVER, on a countries hospitality!....and the irony is, that is where that SHOULD begin....So utterly crazy. Our thoughts are that they employ the 'little hilter' and 'Traffic Warden mentality people. Totally ass about face....The exception to myself, was Singapore, as I entered with less than 6 months on my Passport, a lovely senior lady in border control okayed it... :)

Greece will open borders to Turkey soon, there are ferries from Turkey to several islands, you can make short travels between Greek islands with Trudy and explore their island culture, and come back to Turkey when you are done. South will be too hot after one month, Eagean sea has wind so summers have nice temperatures, and beautiful nature.

By next year COVI-19 will be gone and resume your transcontinental van journey. COVID-19 is rapidly disappearing here in the USA and the news no longer talks about COVID-19 or for that matter the vaccine.

Ferry to Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and then beyond still heading eastwards through countries with Turkish links..might be a way of maintaining some kind of schedule. There are bikers who have posted their trips through these regions on TH-cam in case you wanted to check these out. :) 🤞 🧿 Take care whatever you decide.

Hi, I need to leave then return to Turkey too.
I did this 6 months ago, I drove from MUGLA too ipsala on the border with Greece, had my passport stamped in Turkey to leave then did a u turn and came back into Turkey without going to Greece, just as well as Greece were not letting anyone including me (Brit) because I was driving a Turkish registered car 😳
Off too do the same next week 👍

those are really complicated issues for foreigner in Turkey because of they might not speak English as well. Its the same conditions for the most countries because of there are really different ways to solve your issues. They might not be understand your intentions. In next time whereever you go, I strongly advise to find a local poeple to help you. It would by much easier. No headache, much easier, much faster. Isn't?

Unfortunately Canada isn't open yet. Still a 14 day quarantine for anyone entering, and not a lot of people are allowed to enter. I will keep you posted when that changes.

I have noticed your youtube channel that is very helpful to improve my English skills. You have both also British accent that is so important for me. l watch you because l am originally from Turkey. You must hear before that Turkish food is delicious. Have you tasted some Turkish foods like manti, kebab, baklava (it's so sweet) and much more?l highly recommend tasting them. However, l should say that some Turkish people could be so rude. I do apologise to you instead of them.
