    I worked as a commercial actor. It dried up a bit after Covid. I felt so hurt for a long time wanting my career in acting to take off and self help made it worse. Non duality and loving what is has saved me. I’m fine now.

    The timeline of our journey is very similar. It was 2 or 3 years ago that I had an awakening and then learned about non-duality. The point I'm at now is there's nothing to search for, and no result that must be met. Life, the universe, etc, is all one big dance and I'm merely dancing along to the beat. However, even that is a concept, and I can't truly say that "I" know anything at all. The juxtapositions of this experience are so interesting.

    • @flowingthru6793
      @flowingthru6793  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds incredibly liberating experience - are you finding greater ease in life for you recognise that you are not 'living' it?
      It's hard to put words on the wordless - your conceptual idea resonates deeply - and I understand what you mean. It's ok to label these things, that's what this world is - as long, of course, as there is no attachment. 🧡✨

      @@flowingthru6793 I’ve noticed that there’s a lot less suffering in general. I tend not to get upset with circumstance and it’s much easier to go with the flow.
      I’ve found I go through phases where I feel more in tune or “awake,” if that makes sense. I’ll also go through phases where it’s like I almost “forget.” I do but it can feel that way at times.
      Overall I’d say it’s liberating, but not always. How about yourself?

    For over a decade I contemplated surrender and whether I could make the decision to whole-heartedly do it. I got stuck on the question, the decision part for years and years - not realising I was asking myself an unanswerable question, engaged in an ego loop. Thinking there would be one act of pure, complete surrender. Thank you for sharing your experience. It is helping me a lot ❤🙏

    Self Awakening = I am not this mind body. Often a sudden recognition.
    Self Realization = I am limitless awareness. All is One. Ego takes up residence in the “I am peace, love, and bliss itself.” Attachment to emptiness remains. Ongoing work (often years) of dissolving desire and aversion.
    Enlightenment = I am neither unified nor dualistic. Absence of all attachments, never again to be drawn in to the eddies of ego/separation. The final destination.
    The greatest misunderstanding of the path is that self awakening is the end. It is (for most) merely the beginning. From there, one must stabilize by eliminating residual ego attachments, residual separation-the back and forth that brings us back to ignorance, back to suffering, and back to bliss. Here, a cup of tea is a cup of tea. A mountain is a mountain. “Just like this” ordinary mind.
    This is a beautiful video that reminds seekers to see potential and a path by beyond self awakening. ❤

    Loved this video. I don't think you can necessarily "fix" any relationship/friendship yourself by getting out a spreadsheet. But you can observe problematic dynamics without egoic involvement and clearly see if there is a projection going on. If there is, then you can fix it yourself. But if the other person is continually projecting their ego onto you it's nothing you can fix yourself. Of course you can stay indifferent to it, it's obviously true that in an "enlightened" state, nothing causes you unhappiness. But I'd still prefer relationships/friendships where both parties are aware of their egos, communicate and share their happiness/being.

    • @flowingthru6793

      Yes this sounds like a wonderful concept of friendship/relationship - one with openness and awareness. And there is nothing wrong with that. Preferences are fine in the illusion. When fear arises look at it, explore it, and see any limiting beliefs underneath. See who it is that wants to do nothing - where is that person? Where is that trigger?
      Is it actually that you feel you are not good enough to receive? Undo that! Why are your collection of cells any less worthy than anothers!?

    • @flowingthru6793
      @flowingthru6793  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see what you're saying. By this I meant letting go of ego identity and thought by just not associating yourself with them. And instead observe from awareness. Awareness is the conscious universal energy from which everything arises, from which your true nature is. Not the body/ego. But the awareness of all events occurring in your 'life' - that's where you should be. Of course in the early days of this journey you need to use your ego to access this point - to go within. Which is difficult that's why the A Course In Miracles is a great course in helping achieve this - I hope this explanation helps - let me know if you would like any further clarification 🧡✨

    Is desire the cause of suffering or is punishment from dark karma the cause of suffering? Is the 2nd noble truth correct, or is the Law of Karma correct?
    "Picks one, rejects the other." -Lao Tzu

    • @iosho3473
      @iosho3473 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are correct. How way first is correct? (1) is desire the reason of unhappiness? Yes, how? If I believe I have a body and I am not body, when my all desires will be stopped, I will have no need to body. According to my assumption which was by me that " I am not body, I have a body " means I am permanent without body ( my experience is to be permanent if I have a body or I have even not a body.). And unbreakable enjoyment is in there. I am immortal and only one. There is nothing visible world in there. I am only in my awareness timeless. Therefore, the desire is the reason of unhappiness. 🙏🌹🙏

    • @iosho3473
      @iosho3473 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is the punishment of dark karma the cause of suffering? Yes, the punishment of dark karma is the cause of suffering. First we must understand what is temporary happiness and what is permanent happiness? Temporary happiness means whenever we have a body, we need money, we need good health, we need a good wife or husband, we need good children, and everything else that can bring happiness for the body. All this happiness as long as we have the body. This is temporary happiness but it is very necessary as long as we remain in the body. Another key point, according to the theory of karma, is that " Good karma produce good results and bad karma give bad results. So we must do good karmas for good results. 🙏🌹🙏 likewise the second is also true.

    Hi Flo 👋 One interesting thing I find about actors and actresses is that they just do have to be comfortable with multiple identities. They try to really become a different character than they are in real life. As such, they can hold their own identities loosely which might allow them to manifest their inner, possibly universal, witness. I don’t get excited about “a pure witness” or pure consciousness witnessing any and all possible experience. Add to that that non-duality claims that the witness is one with everything witnessed such that there is no real duality between the witness and experience. So you just end up back at the beginning before you started trying to divide your experience into a witnessing spirit and everything else. You just come back to the beginning - like a circle. There is no real journey if the path is essentially a flat circle. At least you’re cute.

      @@mozis88 hello. That is a good question that you ask. I do not teach or preach mysticism. I am sort of a philosopher of common sense and pragmatism. I work with nature first and foremost. I only work with “spirit” if someone is concerned about it specifically. But, apparently, many mystics claim that the goal is to have no goal or that the point is to have no point. To have a point is to strive actively toward something that you presently lack. And if you something can be gained then that something can also be lost. A mystic might suggest that you get comfortable with having no point and let go of trying to change things in order to become happy. But again, I don’t teach or preach that myself.

    • @mozis88
      @mozis88 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@insider235 Thank you for the answer, so the picture is more complete, but as the lady said in one of her recent videos, you have to search to be able to stop. Everyone looks for their lost happiness in externals, we don't know that it is precisely this function, the automatic service and maintenance of the body/mind/personality/existance(liteally means exio-stand), that causes the loss of happiness. Instead, there is a self-interested search, reptilian brain functioning, which gives the will to give up happiness, that is, to search happiness in survive. With this point of view and attitude, in the absence of self-awareness, we only reach sense gratification, like animals. This is basically a determined, compulsive process, like the narrowed way of thinking it causes. (Idios kosmos- koinos kosmosz) The search, the hope that we will reach our goal and that everything will be as the formed personality wants, is the suppression of happiness in ourselves. We try to control the world, even though it would be enough if we knew ourselves thoroughly. Anyway, how can I be my body, if I don't have a single cell of what was born with me, how can I be my thoughts, if I can see them appear, disappear and remain unchanged in the process? My thoughts are not me, thinking is my sixth sense, which is currently forced into a compulsive survival point of view for almost everyone, stuck in a personality, stuck to the ground. One must know oneself in the search, then get lost in the worldly search, and then also in oneself, so that one can give up oneself. If there is no compulsive goal dependence, then only the journey remains, the dance. In dance, too, the process is important, not the arrival at the destination. Anyway, if I only look at the goal, I keep falling flat on my face, I'd rather look at the path.

I have a deep love of Shakespeare and believe many of his soliquoys point towards awakening/enlightenment such as 'our little lives are but rounded with a sleep'

    I did all of this awakening bull shit for eight years. I did it all with absolute sincerity.
    I realised when I found out my yoga teacher was shagging his students and when I dealt with him on a financial issue he was a completely amoral crook - that this whole awakening trip is just a way for us Westerners to feel peaceful and blissed out while still being pieces of hedonists and indulgent.
    I finally found two things of substance years later - Friedrich Nietzsche's will to power concept, and later on the chants and devotional art of the Orthodox Christian church - the only church that can truly trace its roots back to Jesus and the Apostles.
    Good luck on your journey but spoiler alert enlightenment is utter bull shit. None of the Eastern stuff gives you moral guidance like Christ or a notion of who you truly are as a beastlike animal that Nietzsche delineates.
