- Hello! Here's the next Fire Island: Fire Forest, featuring Yelmut! I'm honestly not super proud of this one. It's short, and it's harder for me to compose in a major key (which is why it was SO smart of me to compose this in a major key). Also, sorry for the terrible quality of the video. That just sorta… happened when I exported it. I tried to fix it, but I couldn't. I hope you can enjoy the song anyway c: Anyway, the full song starts at 02:26 if you'd like to skip the individual sounds. Honest feedback is welcomed and appreciated as always :D

1. i'm glad you liked it! that's something i always like listening to individual tracks: trying to figure out how they'll all fit together in the full song.
2. aww, you don't have to keep working on it if you don't want to!! the thought itself is really sweet, and i'm just glad you were inspired enough to want to recreate it. take your time, and don't tire yourself out for my sake.
3. i would encourage you to try. i'd really love to hear it! and you could also try another quad whose element combination wouldn't make you sing as much or would have monsters that are more suited to your voice. i'd love to see what you come up with because from what i've seen so far, you're very talented and have a good intuition for music ^w^

@@mystery5906 i understand being busy with school. it is midterm season, after all. thank you for being honest about mammott's sound! i will probably redo it at some point, but i have to get better at singing in the subharmonic bass register first, lol. also, the silly comments in the individual sounds are easy to skip over if you don't know that they're there. i do try to make them as entertaining as possible for the people who do see them, though.

Bio: Yelmut was the first one who arrived on amber island, but it was also the first one to feel jealous, after fire cavern was discovered, yelmut went missing for a few days, when he returned he told stories of an fire soul fragment near plant island! It started Fire Forest and then felt way better.

If you have difficulties writing in major, I'd recommend ditching major and just using mixolydian instead. It still feels bright like major but (at least from my experience) somehow always manages to be a bop. Granted, I feel like major was definitely better for this song, as it gives it a very calm and mystical feel which fits the forest theme quite well. I don't really like how a lot of monsters play in one measure and then are just gone the next. It makes the first of those measures feel cluttered, the second one empty, and overall just feels kind of off and unbalanced. The song's still quite nice and happy and stuff and it's pretty good for a mode you're not used to using.

Fun Fact: This actually used to be the original cast of monsters for Light Island, with Yelmut being the quad. Back then, Light Island was supposed to be a fire island with the name of "Fire Fantasia", but later then the magicals were revealed and is now called Light Island

This is exactly like my idea! Same name and same quad! If you make forest because Yelmut it`s a kinda tribe leader, this is very strange coincidence.
Wow, that's a funny coincidence! But I called it forest based on the Elements of the Island, not because of the tribe leader thing.. That works really well too, though. It seems to just be a fitting name for the Island in a lot of ways c:

This is my favorite song you’ve ever made (fire monsters on air island is a close second!) I really like glowl and yelmut of this island. Somehow you made a great song with only one percussion monster! Unless pango counts? Like there’s thumpies but then I’m kinda confused ether pango is a percussion or instrument or vocal cause it makes its noise with its mouth

You should’ve made some monster(s) play there like HippityHop or something. Like a backup. Other than that this is beautiful!
When the individual sounds are played one by one, it really doesn't sound that great... Most of the monsters sounded off-key or overall just not that great...
But when the full song started playing, it sounded amazing! Seriously, I burst into tears as the song went on, simply due to how beautiful is!
That's why you should never judge a book by it's cover.

yeah, the individual sounds aren't supposed to sound good on their own-they're just there so that you know what every monster sounds like. otherwise, there might be some monsters that you can't pick out in the full song.

I'm working on my Monster impressions, and I've been redoing ones that I'm no longer satisfied with (I would never upload something that I weren't proud of or satisfied with at the time of uploading, but as I improve, I notice things that could've been done better and redo them). The updated version of this one won't be coming out for a while yet, but when it does, I'll have redone a lot of the vocals.

This is freaking amazing. The main problem is probably some of the voices (especially the more masculine ones) but you still managed to make a really nice song nonetheless!
